anyone come across this issue? hair dye stained on the forehead because of how much the plastic cover was around the head

I would be so bummed. Contact your supplier for a replacement asap.
yep already messaged kit!

Hang on, doesn’t the head come inside one of those plastic cylinders with no plastic bag around it?
plastic capsule + plastic bag cover inside to "protect" the sculpt. the bag is just REALLY tight around the head

I prefer Inart's sculpt over this tbh
It's got potential. Already looking better than Inart's by a good margin I think. I definitely prefer the neutral mouthplate over this new one he shared though. Paint could also be improved as @Cap'n Cook mentioned. Cap, which painter do you have in mind if you decide to go forward with this?

Lots of thoughts around this forum, hopefully Inart can improve QC but MAINTAIN quality throughout the rest of the shipments to customers. Interesting topic optical stated here, that later batches received less paint applications on Joker. For Gandalf I haven’t heard any complains on the sculpt being worse or it can just be me. I hope for the Batman, the face details don’t get lost in later batches.

Very pleased to see the first ‘hybrid’ of the two figures working so well.

Cannot wait for mine to arrive in a week or so and do the same.
I was thinking of now looking for spare chest and shoulder pads to do this with my InArt or maybe switching my current HT parts to InArt's might make both look better in some way.

After that game, cba to go into depth or take pictures.

This figure is impressive. Incredibly impressive. At first I was underwhelmed with it's size, compared to Hot Toys the overall figure is smaller in scale (Hot Toys really did get larger through time), but this is in scale perfectly, although I would have like the overall figure to be bigger.

Aside from my gammy left arm which is stiff and doesn't ratchet or sit flush, the anatomy of this figure is insane. The details of everything are incredible, especially at this scale. And they're also incredibly frustrating, it feels like Inart wanted you to share in the horrors of their feats by making you partake in putting a belt on, and with a lot of movements the belt and everything on it is finnicky and moves, quite frustrating. But man, impressive at this scale, the thinness of the materials allowing for the poses it can achieve, the quality oozes.

I hate the system for moving the eyes, it needs a tool really to move them, which as far as I see it doesn't come with. Also the mess it makes to the hair, not a fan at all. The likeness is really good, they eyes are fantastic, they really fixed it compared to the hideous Joker release.

Overall, very impressed. Have to get used to the smaller scale of the figures, but this just increases the amazement at their achievements of cloth and articulation. The packaging is very nice and secure, a lot of accessories, too much to be honest. The base is a piece of crap, cheap plastic with a strange magnet design, just make the whole base a magnet...

The instruction manual is also in depth and lacking instruction, directions of clipping belts and placement of items could be clearer I think.

Final impression:

New age of 1/6 for sure.

Edit to add: I don't obsess over something being 100% screen accurate, but if anyone feels the need to mod this outside of the cape I think that's mad, but I suppose some people enjoy that, but it really doesn't need mods. Also I'm going to enjoy the hell out of posing him tomorrow morning.

Any tips for the belt? I know I'll be setting a day off for the task, lol

I already ordered a standard Hot Toys base. I counted on the base being crap. It baffles me that their only foot forward to all the issues which have arised from their magnetic base system since their first release, is a silly little track thing

Clippers. Patience. Boxing bag. Huge blunt.

Edit: To be serious. Patience and small clippers are essential. The lower belt on the gun holster will only clip right at the knee for me, where you can loosen the belt on it doesn't seem to work, the material doesn't move like it does on the actual belt. But the actual belt no matter how much I tighten it doesn't really make the belt sit tightly on his waist, it's pretty annoying. The pouches like to move around a lot, just be patient, you don't want to damage anything, and small clipper are much better and moving the small parts of the around compared to fingers and thumbs. And don't be forceful.

I also only accidentally managed to undo the front of the belt the proper way, I tried doing it purposefully and couldn't get it to work, easier just sliding the belt on over the legs and then tightening at the back. I can see why these didn't ship with the belt on, it would have increased production time by at least a year.
