So I think solved the "mystery" behind the bent ears issue.
The thing is that when they packaged the masked sculpt inside the foam insert, some were pushed way too deep into the foam with the head slightly tilted either to the right or left, causing the plastic wrap to bunch up a bit inside.
I don't think the plastic wrap putting pressure on to the ears is the main reason causing the bend to happen (the ears are made of vinyl, but it isn't super soft, still has a bit of resistance to the vinyl), but inserting it way too deep into the foam and tilting it side to side is squeezing the ears, thus a lot of people are receiving theirs with one ear slightly bent and the other perfectly fine.
If anyone is hoping to keep it in box like I plan to do, make sure that the masked head sculpt isn't inserted too deep into the foam, and make sure that the head is facing straight and not side to side shifted. IMO, I don't think that getting rid of the plastic wrap protecting the masked sculpt is a good idea since the foam might (overtime) cause problems to the paint on the sculpt causing more problems than you need.
Hope this helps out guys!! One QC issue down, few to go.
