damn something took a hit from proto to production. It went from looking like an exact replica of Viggo to a stunt double.

Shadow placements are pretty similar in the comparison. I’m wondering if camera focal length is doing anything to face structure.

The clothing material and colors look different too? Looks like mass production factories weren’t able to replicate the finer details in clothe stitching.

HOLY **** - yes!
Thank you 1/6 gods for blessing me on this the day of my birth

So fricking excited - the premium looks amazing, and the rooted hair and bloody hands will make for some really dynamic poses and I love the look of the Shards of Narsil.
Cannot wait

Horrible pictures, I can barely see anything lol. Might as well send Justin one of these, that way we can have one batch barely lit and one batch so bright it washes all the details out 🤣
We don't have any other photos for the moment.

This comparison is not fair because the quality of the unboxing video is poor (even not in 4K on Youtube...) all the details have disappeared whereas on the photos of the prototype they are high quality photos with excellent lighting, thanks to which we see all the details

Here is a comparison between the final Aragorn of the unboxing video and the prototype taken at WF by ordinary people (so not in the optimal conditions of professional promo photos that we see in the official images)

This can definitely make a big difference, especially with a subject this small.

It's more than resolution too, it's also YouTube's video compression that will hide a lot of the details.

If they did indeed **** the sculpt like they did with Batman, then I'm officially done with this company. Tired of them advertising one thing, then making needless changes and releasing something considerably worse.

We shall see..

Sculpt was a 10. One of the best I've ever seen. If they wanted to tinker with anything, the coat was in dire need of an upgrade.

I don't want to get ahead of myself, but this company has already proven to be unreliable. And I'm tired of making excuses on their behalf.

I'll wait for Black's photos.

Umm..

Did they change it?

I would be astounded if they did change it deliberately, considering how overwhelmingly positive the feedback was. Mass production issues are another thing. But I think the subtle increase in the shadow on the image of the final figure could be responsible for making the sculpt look different here in this comparison. Plus there's a subtle tilt of the head on the shot of the prototype that's not matched in the image of the final figure.

Definitely seems like the brow shape was changed to me. More of a stern look now vs neutral on the proto
