Yep, it didn't take 3+ years to get that GOTG2 Gamora or Pennywise out. 😂
I didn't say it doesn't take HT a long time to ship a product. But typically when they do, they aren't released in batches of a dozen at time. Nor am I waiting for a figure six months after the first people have received it. That hasn't been my experience, at least, but it certainly has been with Gandalf.

Yes, that is correct that they are now no longer doing that. Recently though they were very much doing that. They would release in Hong Kong and it would take up to 8 months sometimes for Sideshow to get in hand and ship out, example EG Captain America. Combination of their batch system and sea freight shipping.

Personally, I would rather have the opportunity to receive a figure somewhere between 15 months and 24 months depending on how early I ordered it. Then see how it's looking in hand from others while waiting, instead of all figures being held until they are all complete and then start shipping at 24 months.

I think Hot Toys has made a lot of great changes recently that I love seeing with preorder, production, and shipping. Now hopefully InArt has the capability to do the same over this year.
 
added some water to his hair and beard. Prefer a rougher looking Gandalf then the one who looked like he got out of the salon.

That was some sticky, nice smelling? Hairspray they used though. They really were pretty liberal using it too. I won’t remove all of it but my whole display smells like it now

Yes water treatment on this figure is an absolute must otherwise you are totally selling yourself short! Just follow the InArt guide (either on the instruction page that comes with the figure or their video on YouTube) and it looks so much better.
 
With so many preorder items, we receive lots of email/message asking for updates

We do share customer feedback with brands/manufacturers, getting some sort of updates but somehow these updates are not accurate, it is understandable to me that when you produce such detail product with so many parts, any small issue on any parts/procedure could delay schedule, I heard many stories that some figures are well produced but missing one small part, end up they sitting in factory over 6 months

When people ask for update, my default answer is:
"No updates"
"We will update you by email if any of your preorder is released or cancelled"
"Please refer to our FAQ and policy page regarding preorder and delays"

I know it sounds like a ****, but its the fact that it comes when it comes, knowing when it comes doesn't help advance the schedule, right? you will only be disappointed when it doesn't come at the schedule we told you

When there's one popular figure releasing/delayed, I can sit here all day long just to write email/reply messages, I can't do anything else.

Well, that's gotta be Limtoys. Haha. Just fits the mould.

I think the one thing that drives me nuts is when people think an order has been cancelled just because there's no update. If an order got cancelled, retailers (the reputable ones anyway) would be issuing refunds and people would be getting money back. Delays happen, and quite frankly delays are a good thing because it means companies aren't releasing products that have problems. But confusing delays with cancellations is just silly.

I can see how people are frustrated with InArt because they really do move slower than a snail, but they are putting out really good quality and revolutionizing what we come to expect in this hobby. Sometimes, you just need to wait. Greatness takes time.

I ordered mine 08/01/23 and was sent yesterday by Kit so im quite happy with the wait time considering it has such intricate details.
