Oh damn, you're right! I forgot all about Hermione.Hermione, she has already gone up for order.

Unless they do the red dress look…Harley will go the way of Mera.
Unless they do the red dress look…
Ahh. Yeah, that one can go the way of the Dodo. We're talking about Joker 2 Harley.
I better not see you say a word when they do add extras like the bow then. Since you're fine with spending the 500 plus and getting what they provide.Just don't pre-order it expecting them to add extra stuff.
It’s either that or not have a Legolas.I better not see you say a word when they do add extras like the bow then. Since you're fine with spending the 500 plus and getting what they provide.
Thanks for laying out the options. It’s either that or not have a Legolas.
Agree.Maybe I have a problem, but if INART makes a character I seriously want, especially if it’s the specific character design, it’s an easy choice. I’m getting it.
It's a very reasonable decision IMO, probably one already being made by many collectors, not just for InArt but for HT, statues. People know their own circumstances. Wise folks know when it's time to get off the bus. Having Gandalf and Aragorn, or either/or, is a perfectly reasonable way to represent LOTR. A hobby shouldn't morph into a financial strain. Even if JND makes statements something like "hobbies shouldn't depend on the space in your room or the economy." Er, no. At least MY personal economy sez it's better to have heat and food when it's 20 degrees F. I sure ain't gonna spend 4 months eating ramen noodles for a figure or statue. It’s sad, but I think I’ve been priced out of Inart. But I’m glad I got Gandalf, Aragorn, Superman, and Batman. But it looks like the days of getting others have ended.
Agree.
In terms of LOTR, I see InArt as a company that's finally done the main characters justice. Especially in terms of likeness and realness, which is the most important thing, for me. I've been holding myself from buying Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, and the hobbits from another company, because of this main reason.
They indeed have QC problems.. and they need to improve their CS, but as you and others said, Hot Toys did the same treatment.. I do hope they fix the QC so their products will be perfect.
I've been lucky that all of my InArt figures have no issues: Gandalf, Aragorn, the Batman, Ledger Joker, and Harry Potter all arrived in perfect condition.
And the unboxing experience is always wonderful. I can feel the joy, just by looking at the headsculpt. Amazing work.
How they pack their figures shows how respectful they are to the piece. From the boxes to the tiny accessories.
The boxes really protect everything inside, and it's designed beautifully too.
Even third party companies put effort in their packaging, so this really matters.. especially if you have to resell it someday. (hopefully not!)
So I hope InArt step up with the QC, keep up the good work, and lowers their price!
Stick to Asmus.IMO the fancy boxing to me is more like the proverbial lipstick on a farm animal. Not to mention irritating because InArt isn't picking up the cost for the packaging; customers are. Minimally probably adds another 50$ in the final price. If a company wants to show respect to customers obviously they have great QC - for the company reputation if nothing else.
I'd happily trade my fancy boxes for better quality materials, the Ranger cloak as standard, better paint, and hair I didn't need to spend hours on, as well as buy hair stuff. Now this is a company I feel like you flip a coin on. They sell tho so there's no reason for them to change the way they do business.

Well said.Stick to Asmus.
They are not negative. It's what happened. I fully expected to open my fancy box-es, extract my expensive figure, tweak a few bits of hair, and be like, d@y-um, ok, that's what 500$+ gets me.Well, that is for you, not for me.
I am happy with what I got from InArt Aragorn. I completely understand their decision to include the ranger cloak as a deluxe region, as Hot Toys did that too for several products that is event exclusive. It's a marketing strategy.
For me InArt's material is good quality. They scaled it better, so it doesn't look like a bunched up doll. Many members here said that when they put InArt figure next to other company's LOTR figure, it made the non InArt one looks like a toy.
I agree about the better QC, in my opinion, all companies need to improve their QC. I remember the other company that made LOTR figures also have lots of fiasco with QC.. some even as crazy as Gollum's changing body color, wrong set of hands, etc. Yes, they replaced the body, but that is good CS, not good QC.
If you prefer to have a brown dull box as your packaging, then it's up to you, but I would rather have good packaging with my figures. It's like dressing properly to respect yourself. And it brings the unboxing experience much joy! I salute the third-party companies that really put an effort into making their packaging good, in terms of protection and artistic wise. It shows how much you respect your own product.

Well said.
It seems like we already noted the many repeated negative posts about InArt from Sassafras. It might be best not to keep repeating it., or yes.. just stick to asmus.
At first, it is a constructive comment. They are not negative. It's what happened. I fully expected to open my fancy box-es, extract my expensive figure, tweak a few bits of hair, and be like, d@y-um, ok, that's what 500$+ gets me.
And nobody could blame me, considering the white gloved video InArt themselves put out.
But, I appreciate that yourself and others are very happy with their products; and to a degree I can see why. Actually with the Harry Potter diorama more than anything, as well as the figure, which to me looks pretty nice, accurate, etc. I wouldn't mind owning the diorama just to put with any medieval figure after I fixed the floor.
"Negative" to me would be saying across the board, this is the worst piece of *&^% ever released, and the biggest ripoff. IMO it's not - at least Aragorn has the best Viggo sculpt out there, and that includes WETA who should have gotten it right by now. The weapons are really well done, and if I will miss anything about skipping Legolas, it will be the quiver, arrows, and knives, at least from the proto.
Many value the unboxing experience. For myself, yes, it's NICE but the boxes are gonna end up stored. As for "sticking with Asmus" because my comments are a bummer, well, yeah. Most of the time, I will. I'm not seeing the value here, obviously. Possibly when Legolas is released it's a decision I'll regret. I am curious tho to see if InArt makes some improvements prior to production.
This is also what I had in mind until I had a big dent with a hole on my InArt Harry Potter outer brown box.I won't pretend that I don't enjoy the unboxing experience, but if InArt offered a plastic clamshell for, like, $30-40 less? I wouldn't mind saving a little on what's ultimately a superfluous aspect of owning a figure.
It's not whining. It is what it is. Reality bites. I could easily say that the many praises of InArt are rose colored glasses mostly based on some pretty good sculpts and some nice packaging, because the LOTR costumes aren't all that and most of the hair I've seen on Aragorn has little resemblance to the prototype. At first, it is a constructive comment.
When you keep repeating it over and over again, it sounds negative, because it's no longer a constructive criticism but more like you keep whining.
I can quote your posts in this thread that repeats the same thing over and over again..
This is also what I had in mind until I had a big dent with a hole on my InArt Harry Potter outer brown box.
Now I am glad they did premium packaging because it protects my expensive figure.
It is what it is, and when you keep repeating it, it's called whining.
At least, I was able to deal with my issues more or less. And yes, possibly, a person could return a problem and possibly InArt will resolve the issue, or send you a pencil.
Annndd - since Aragorn rooted is still available, via Kit, and say a new-ish collector wanders into this site, it's unlikely they are going to go back and re-read every post. They'll look at the newest ones, probably. It's not like InArt themselves is gonna say "there's a 70/30 chance, maybe, that your portrait isn't gonna look anything like our nice vid, have fun trying to get us to replace it, due to "individual variations"." Look, the saddest post I read was the person whose hair was so bad, they just put the figure away.
Anyway, I don't hate the Aragorn figure. I even got him a horse. Most folks seem happy with Aragorn and Gandalf. But since this is the Legolas thread, so far Legolas is a price increase with limited accessories, could use a better portrait, and like with Aragorn's cloak there doesn't seem to be improvements in materials/finishing, so far. Maybe most people don't care about that kind of thing. Congrats if you ordered Legolas, hope your positive experiences continue.
Please don't take this as a personal attack because I have no problem with you, but before InArt came along, you were constantly pointing out every little thing Asmus did wrong, criticizing everything you didn't like, pointing out every flaw, blasting every poor head sculpt and highlighting every QC issue. It is what it is, and when you keep repeating it, it's called whining.
We get it the first time.
Anyway, good to know you are able to resolve the issue. I saw your pics with the new Aragorn hair, and it looks good.
The pencil part made me laugh, seriously. I had no loyalty to any brand, so when InArt does silly things like that colored pencil (if that indeed is true from InArt), it's hilarious and crazy, coming from a premium company. XD
No need to be the person to tell the new-ish collectors about the QC problems, I am sure like many others, they do visit previous pages to see the pictures and read the discussion.
Hate is a strong word, you might not hate the figure, but you keep repeating your issue with the hair, the cloak, the materials even in the post I'm replying now. That's my point.
And yes, thank you. I am so happy I finally getting a Legolas figure in 1/6.
