This looks like a rip off of Prototype somewhat, and what is up with the force lightining coming out of his hands? and i think how he hovers looks stupid but, the graphics and maybe plot seem like they would be good.

Why would you think that Infamous is a rip off of Prototype? What proof do you have that the Infamous team took gameplay or aesthetic elements from the Prototype design? Both games were in production the same time and Infamous is released BEFORE Prototype (granted it's only by about 1 week, but still).

Infamous was designed by the team who did Sly Cooper, which were great games. I don't know much about the Prototype team except that they made the Hulk game, which was pretty fun.

If you listen to the Invisible Walls podcast they've played both & have said they're very different. Just initial impressions and marketing make them look similar.

Prototype is similar to Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction
inFamous is similar to Grand Theft Auto / Crackdown with a conscience/ karma meter

I personally think inFamous will be the better of the two. I can see it being more involved and having a more cohesive storyline than Prototype's run around and smash things up approach.

I think this game looks great! I preordered it from Target and I think the developer Sucker Punch will come through on the gameplay. If you guys haven't played them check out the Sly Cooper games. They are awesome and heavily influenced Infamous.

Yeah i think infamous beats prototype, i think the plot is interesting and the sandbox environment mixed with some assassins creed free roaming/ climbing is just awsome, and random boss battles COOL!

Pretty excited about this one, I'm down for another sandbox game. I tried to play GTA4 last night and it's just boring.

Can't wait for Sly and the gang to make their PS3 debut.

I'll get Infamous eventually. I just picked up a used copy of Uncharted this morning, so I'll keep busy with that for now.

I just made a UK account for this, but by the time I finished creating it the demo was up in the US. I'm downloading it now but it is going super slow at only 18% right now.

The Demo is really good.
There are parts that are like Crackdown, you can't drive cars though.
I love how you can glide on power lines and live train tracks.
