Internet streaming help......

Hey all

I have At&ts Uverse, download at 16.5 Mpbs, upload at 1.4 Mbps, my NAT reading is 1009/1024 so everything seems fantastic, yet when I stream movies from Netflix as of late, I have difficulty getting an HD signal ..

Netflix needs 5 Mpbs to get that HD stream, and they swear they are not the problem......considering I never had this issue before At&t, I tend to believe them

Any other suggestions that may cause these issues, though my connection seems good? Its so weird.....

Doesn't NetFlix use some sort of plug-in for FF and IE called "night" something. Downloading and re-installing that might be worth a try. I use FF without a prob and also have the fiber optic from AT&T U-Verse, although I don't have the TV hookup because I didn't want it.

Do you have any torrent programs running at the same time?

I should meantion I have been having the issue while streaming via the 360....and only happened once I rec the Uverse...

I dont run any background program and usually dont have my PC running at the same time....

I have no issues on the PC side of streaming at all - and during the day the Netflx streaming is fast -

Hmmm... I don't have much experience with the 360, I stopped after modding my XBox version 1 and it does a lot of what the 360 entails mulit media wise. I would search on the XBox forums for people having issues with the 360 & U-Verse, you've probably all ready done that but that would be the first spot I would check.

I would assume that rec'd and streaming at the same time would cause a lag on the bandwidth if that's the case though.

Ok, cool - yeah, I did look, but not that closely..........its odd.....thanks for the help. I will need to research this some more.....its odd that the issue seems to only occur between 9pm - 11:30pm...
