God, I hate iTunes. Stupidest interface ever, badly executed design...gah. Anyway, I'm trying to do something that should be simple but isn't.

I want to put one of my many digital copies of a movie on my iPad. The instructions are simple enough, but of course, nothing is. I pop the digital copy into the computer that is synced to the iPad. I say I want to transfer the digital copy to iTunes. It seems to do so just fine, and the movie is in my iTunes library on the computer. So now how the hell do I get it on my iPad? I've tried syncing, but it isn't showing up in my iPad movies library. I can't find it from the iPad to download. I thought maybe it had to be in iPad format, but when I highlight the movie in iTunes, it doesn't allow me to use the 'create iPad version' under the Advanced menu. I know this should be easy - what the hell am I doing wrong?

Go to the movies section of your itunes and make sure the movie is checkmarked. Then sync it again. Should move it over.

Or if your movie settings are set to manual, then you just need to drag the movie from iTunes to the iPad's icon.

Kabuki & Josh hit the nail on the head.
Anybody else having problems with the "screen lock" switch?
Mine for some reason shows mute when you switch it.
