Would it be feasible to make this figure?

His appearance was in the nude, maybe HT could work in some kind of a cheat where they could include his clothes from T1 or something...his cameo is my favorite part of the film.

Maybe they could do a battle damaged part flesh/part endo body.

It would be a difficult and tender issue to make.... I would buy? Without sounding gay!

Well they made Dutch. So they should have the ok for the terminator. They will probably just make a terminator 1 with the first set of close he had on in the first part of the film. With his hair parted to the side. Not spiked up. Then all you have to do is take off his close. Lolololilolilo. I'll be back !!!

They only have the rights to make Arnold from Predator, nothing else. A T1 license is very complicated i've heard so I wouldn't expect seeing anything for a while.

T1 is like Predator, the Terminator is licenesed, which is why we already got a figure of it, but Arnie's face is not, and like Predator, Hot Toys would have to pursue Arnie's approval and rights.

They would have to develope a whole new full-body muscle body with no seams. That may prove to be a challenge for mass production. Having Tech Noir clothes would be good just for the packaging (no pun intended). I wouldn't want it to be a 'Ken' doll though if it's supposed to look human and all.

If it were anatomically correct, would they have the likeness rights?:lol

We know they can get it though cause they got it for Dutch. And Hot Toys clearly has the TS license, so it's very possible. Also, the Arnold 800 in TS was not actually the actor on screen, but a CG character, so that might simplify things. Also, Arnold is now a public figure as of the making of TS, so his likeness rights may be open. I fully expect to see an Arnold T-800 from TS before they are done with the line. After all, it is the most popular character in that movie for fans, and a guaranteed sell out.

i'd rather see ht make the endo so people can have another shot at the original one they made.
the scalpBay prices on that now are obscene.

and wtf do you want a nekked arnold figure for?

I actually thought of that as well... not sure what stages of damage he sustained in the movie... but that could make for a very interesting figure IMO.

Yeah, but the precedents have been set.

They've had the Terminator 1 license before, and continue to have the Salvation license now, so there's already a working relationship with whoever owns the rights to the franchise/characters.

Now they also have obtained Arnold's right to use his likeness for Dutch, so while that likely doesn't mean they AUTOMATICALLY get to use it for the Terminator (unless that was part of the deal), they've now got a working relationship with Arnie's lawyers on that issue, so it shouldn't be too hard to do again, depending on Dutch's sales numbers (which I'm assuming will be quite good).

I'm sure the legal issues are much more complex than I imagine (heck, just look at buying a friggin' house), but it doesn't seem THAT complicated. Certainly it should be within the realm of possibility in the near future!

I'm pretty sure I DON'T want a naked Arnie action figure - let's hope they go the T1 and/or T2 route with that one!

the bottom half could be like...burnt off? do Terminators even have wang yung chungs?
even if they don't it's still just an arnold figure. there's really nothing that makes it a terminator.
might as well make a naked Jingle All the Way arnold figure. same thing.

Naked with the smile above as an alternate head would crack me up.

Seriously, I'd be fine with the extra crispy version shown above.

The T-800 Endo in TS is a little different from the T1/T2 Endo. It has an extra plate over the deltoid area, and it has two large hoses going into it. Also, the upper arm structure seems to bow outward in the middle.

In that case, I'd love to see a new version of the T-800 Endo.

Why nekkid?, cause that is how we first saw him, and that is how he made his appearance in TS. It's the pure form of the series 800 Cyborg. That's cool.

Naked Jingle All the Way would be awesome!:banana Oh, or naked Kindergarten Cop!:rotfl

ok, but think about it, dude. it's really only cool in the context of the scene in the movie.
as a figure, there isn't really anything that makes it a terminator.
it's just a naked Hercules in New York.

it would really work much better as a statue with a diorama.
