Hello all, this is my first thread here, I hope you'll enjoy and we'll have good excahnge. I've been reading many great works here for quite a while, they are spectacular. They made me wanted to get creative and work on some of my favourite characters. Although I have done some sculpting for stop motion animation for my day job, this is my first serious attempt to create a 1/6 head to fit on a figure body. Right now I am experimenting different painting style, and I'll keep working on it.:)

Updates:
New application of air brush as a base, in the hope of getting an even skin tone

Agreed... I could tell who it was (even though I'm not real familiar with the actor) which is always important. I think if you were able to refine your future sculpts you'd be a force to be reckoned with :lecture

I always wanted am 1/6 Monk. His likeness is perfect! Maybe nose and ears are a little off... The smile is more Bean than Monk. If you were going for Monk (which I assume due to the title) you should go with another more serious expression...

Thanks guys, your constructive comments would really help:) Yes I'm still working on polishing skills and stuff. I'm gradually picking up some tricks to better sculpting through trial and error, hopefully will turn over a truely good monk and many more soon.

After seeing the Columbos on here, I never understood why no Monks popped up. This is great to see! The sculpt is a bit rough but the paint does a good job bringing the likeness out. The clothes and that first pose with his arms up look awesome too!

Further test on painting:

air brushing the base skin tone, drawing a better defined iris with finer stlyus.

At the same time I'm also doing a repaint of another sculpt:

Frankly I'll most definitely order the T1000 from Hottoys becoz it's way cooler and I'm a huge T2 fan; but before that I still want to have fun with a custom T1000 I worked on a while ago. I remember being impressed by someone customizing on a DID figure to become young John Connor. Wish I could get that too. Anway it's one of my all time favourite movie scenes.
