Jabba 12" Image Thread

My guess is that Sideshow will be putting out quite a few more items for the Jabba display, which is why I will hold off on getting a case for the time being. I don't want to pay the money for a custom case and then find out it is too small when they add more figures and creatures into the mix.

I'm too poor to get a custom case

I wouldn't be able to afford a custom case either, but if some of my other collections move into a detolf or two, then Jabba can reside on top of my entertainment center.

I expect that we will see some more elements of the throne room too, not to mention weird alien guys who would look cool just hanging around. I can't wait for a Sideshow Ree Yees!

I think that means only first half of the edition size will be coming with the rest later good thing I ordered early.

I got mine soon as he went up, so I had better be getting him sooner rather than later. Not that it matters, I just want to get him on my card so I can start to pay it off. Man this year is getting expensive fast.

My Jabba is coming from Adam so hopefully it ships sometime in late Feb. I don't know if my CC can handle 3 PF's in one month (I know Jabba's a 1/6 scale, but his price isn't).

do u guys think the Medi Fett will be to short to be in scale w/ the SSs? or better to go w/ a Marmit (are they really hard to find?), or even wait and see if/when SS is make a Fett? i heard that SS may hold off on a 12" Fett so as not to compete w/ Medi.

Marmit is worth the $100 + you'd have to pay, Medicom will look gorgeous but will be too small. I'm looking forward to the Ss Fett, but that could be as long as a year from now. Your choice.

You should try that Flexpay thing.

I wish that Sideshow made an optional acrylic display case avalaible for the Jabba set kind of like what Master Replicas does with their products. This thing is gonna be hell to keep the dust off.

Well actually the dust really would only enhance the display since Jabba's palace was dirty and dusty.

I was thinking the same thing, but I bet if SSC made one many of us would think it was too small? With all the potential of things to annd we needs something big like 36x24x24.

Right, people will be able to choose which version of Jabba's palace they want. Original theatrical (dusty) or SE (spotless under an acrylic case.)

I thought about an acrylic case for Jabba too, but with them (for now) continuously adding to the set, it'll be hard to figure just how big of one to get...

Yeah it would have to be a HUGE case if you wanted to dispay it as a scene. And I agree with buttmunch in that the dust will just be a bonus to the display.

Well you could ask cases for collectibles what is the biggest possible case they can make. I know the longest is 4ft but Im not sure about depth and height could you imagine a case that like 3 ft X 4ft X 22" with all the characters in it. I hope they do the original three from the Rebo band and at least 10 of Jabba goons, Klauuta, Baraba, Nikito, Weequay, Ephant Mon, Amanaman, Yakface, Ree-Yees, Tessek, and Malakili. This would make an awesome set up maybe release them in threes like the Endor troops.
