GREAT!! Thanks, that's exactly what I needed. I have now taped out the space he'll occupy, and I've piled Sideshow boxes into the space to roughly determine how much vertical space he'll take up. The boxes actually take up more space, so it'll seem like Jabba is smaller in comparison.....I hope.

When I first saw the title of this thread I just thought someone wanted to jump the gun. What a pleasant surprise!!! It's nice to know he won't be shipping until February at the earliest but still this is going to be a scarey two months on the CC.
I wonder how much longer the throne will be behind Jabba? Hopefully not too long. I also wonder how many people are going to be kicking themselves for cancelling after seeing how great Jabba looks.

Possibly. Never saw it in the movie, but it probably is there. I'd say we probably need another "big" creature and then perhaps another smallcreature as an exclusive. Maybe a partially eaten frog-like snackfood or a headless whatever Jabba used to hit the gong to start the podrace in Ep I? Exclusive Rancor poop?

It's a pretty rough mock-up, but the dimensions are correct. The top of Kenner Jabba's head is about how tall SS Jabba will be on the throne, and the width accounts for the gargoyle heads. Leia is lounging about half an inch to an inch higher than the actual throne's height I think, and the bunny is where Salacious ought to go. The Solo in Carbonite and the Gam Guard are Hasbro, the Slave Leia is Hasbro on a CY Girls body, and Luke and Bib are goo ol' Sideshow high quality figures. I found the bunny on the street. I'm going to repaint it with Sith eyes someday....
This deeply crappy pic is also the first time I've ever shown my display area on the board. Woo.

Man, I go to see Dreamgirls today with the wife... come home and see hours of reading in this thread. Wow! These pix just reaffirm how stoked I am for Jabba. I'm ready... bring him on!

Mikey, the joints don't look as bad as say the Sarah Connor Sideshow figure with bare joints, and actually the proportions look much better between body and head too, good job.

And thanks for the compliments on my display. I hate it, actually. It's the definition of ghetto. The shelves are dresser drawers screwed to the wall. Bleh.
But I'm awefully fond of what's on display (there are two more rows of shelves above the ones pictured.)
Someday...Ikea. When I have more floor space. Sigh. Looking forward to posting pics of Leia with the actual Jabba!

Sadly looks like Roy is the only one with him so far, at least that posts here with a camera, but perhaps with the regular week ahead and more retailers open over seas, we may see more.
