THE FINAL JUDGEMENT

Re: Jared Leto's Joker JFINAL JUDGEMENT Poll

I feel that Leto's performance and choices are basically the same as in SS, but he looks better without the tattoos and he was given better dialogue. My final judgement of Leto, he's...ok. Not great, not terrible.

1. Ledger
2. Phoenix
3. Nicholson
4. Jared Leto
5. Cesar Romero

I actually liked him more than I expected to, couldn't stand him in SS. It was a classic interaction with Joker taunting Batman and getting under his skin.

I still wish Snyder would have had a scene with Batman and Joker in the main timeline though. I'd love to see how Snyder would handle a modern Joker, something like in the Arkham games is what I want.

I had already accepted Leto Joker from the start so it?s easier for me then others. Batman and Joker together on screen, interacting with each other, c?mon. I enjoyed the scene.

There are a couple of things though that are a bit off to me.

Since they?ve doubled down on it. It?s weird seeing the joker being sexual and passing innuendos to other males(or at least the way Leto does it) ie; SS and now ZSJL with the reach around remark. Like I get it, i have friends that we joke around like that all the time. but for me it fell flat. Hard. Maybe done better? Better delivery? Worked better with Black Mask. Honestly I just don?t see The Joker in those mannerisms.

(I hope I didn?t word any of that wrong, I don?t mean to offend if I did. TL;DR I don?t see the character of the Joker in those moments)

The second thing is having Batman say he is going to kill him, nice and slow. I was under the impression and kind of hoping that we were going to sweep under the rug all those killings Batman did in BvS (Or at least I was) lol because the problem with the killing is there is absolutely no way Joker would have last as long. I?m unable to make myself believe this man whose been killing criminals for the last 20 years is having a tough time killing the joker.. [emoji2369]

+think about how hard that?d be, he?d really have no rouges gallery. Just picture the Warehouse scene from BvS and insert guys like Two-Face, Penguin, Mister Freeze, Bane, etc. I don?t see him not taking them out just the same..

Last thing, I can live with it, but am I the only one who wouldn?t mind to see a joker NOT sporting long hair?

Other than that, enjoyed seeing more joker on screen, I would love a straight up Batfleck movie with Joker causing some type of chaos! Classic formula.

He's left no impression on me at all. :dunno

I don't think Jared Leto is a bad actor just bland.

Aesthetically I like him better in JL. But SS Joker set the standard by which bad character interpretation is measured.

Where is the option hoping he gets killed off and a disgrace to the Joker legacy? The only character as bad as him was Ezra Miller’s Autistic Flash.

I gave Leto a chance at redemption for his JL scene and he still didn't deliver. Still a terrible iteration of the Joker. Good on Snyder for getting rid of the tattoos but Leto's take is just so garbage. The laugh is awful, his dialogue is awful, his voice and mannerisms are awful.

Not every Joker has to be Mark Hamill, but every Joker should still be good. :rotfl

I never want to see any Leto Joker again. ENOUGH FROM THE CLOWN!

I don't think he's been allowed enough screentime or opportunity to actually show his Joker. Don't really care for the character anyway.

Was about the same performance for me. Obviously the tattoos were too much. No one even wants to look at someone with tats on their face lol. Doesn't feel like he brings anything new to the table, just kind of riffing off what Ledger did. I would either like a more eccentric Joker that likes to take people hostage at a carnival and doesn't give two ******s about what happens. Another iteration I would like is the TDKR graphic novel where he doesn't laugh anymore and his soul is kind of taken from him. But when Bats is back, he acts very stoic, high class and haughty kind of attitude.

I like him.. I think he plays it very similar to some of the Comics... Not all as Joker changes from comic to comic.

I liked him in SS also. Though I hated his look.. He was the best part of the film along with Harley.

1. Ledger
2. Jared Leto
3. Nicholson (There are moments that he is great but much of the time it feels like a Romero impersonation)
4. Cesar Romero
5. Phoenix (Joker in name only)

I voted "still need to see more" because after all these years I *still* haven't seen SS.

I will say, based on ZSJL, Leto has the potential to rival Ledger.

I voted ?same as suicide squad?, but now that you?ve pointed all of this stuff out, I agree with you more. The laugh is just the worst. The dialogue, led to nothing that would make me even remotely think this dude was the joker. Llehto is a lame method actor that is full of himself. Method acting is the ****ing worst.

Still one more Letoker scene yet to be seen in the upcoming black & white version of ZSJL. I'm going to wait to vote until then. :monkey1

The best thing about it is that he went out there and took a swing, yes he missed it completely but hey he didn't play it safe and he gave it a go.

Having said that I can't recall in recent times watching someone "acting" so hard on screen as he did in that scene, it was jaw dropping. Leto was on another level. That of a High School drama student giving their self written monologue for final assessment.

His Joker is pure garbage.

Not my Joker.

And for the most part I like Letos other performances. He?s a wacko, but a decent actor.

He is still Letoker to me.

1. Ledger
2. Mark Hamill
3. Nicholson
4. Romero
6. Leto

Not a typo.

But then , the DCU right now has been a total miscast for me from the start.

1. Bale
2. Keaton
3. Conroy
4. Affelck
5. WorGar
6. Clooney
7. Kilmer
8. West
