Now that we're pretty close to having all 3 figures complete, the next step seems to be filling out the space in which they'll be displayed, I figured I'd start a thread for posting those sorts of things.

This is my first effort, it's a high resolution 7" wide by 5.5" tall graphic, I based the size of the chalk area on the size of Quint near it, it's about the height of his upper body, so almost half a figure, so I went 5.5".

"Y'all know me, know how I earn a livin'. I'll catch this bird for ya, ain't gonna be easy, bad fish. Not like going down the pond chasin' blue gills and tommy cods. This shark, swallow ya whole. Shakin', tenderizin'. Down you go."

More stuff like this coming from me. Anybody else chime in too.

This copy isn't really in scale with figures, but it's scaled to be printable from any home computer, 10" long, I forget exactly how high, just worried about keeping overall proportions when I translated the image from film stills. The way it's assembled, I can also make it pre-graffiti.

"Why don't you take a long look at that sign, those proportions are correct."

"Love to prove that wouldn't you, get your name into the National Geographic."

Here's a wild idea! How about templates for the Orca that we can print out and put together? I know it sounds cheesy, dorky, and more than a little insane, but it'd be a fun project, and if you build the plates around a wooden block base or something, then you could put the figures on it with Les's Bruce breaching at the stern.

I'm going to go take my medication now. :wacky

Saw these banners online way back, and love them, even though I have NO idea who made them...

AND...
Not to be outdone...

Not in the vein of movie image items for our figures, but I found this OLD art I did way back in the early to mid 80's. I want to note, it is from my head. I had studied Bruce so much by that time, I knew images and stuff pretty well. Not as versed these days, but still know him when I see him!

Anyway, one of my old paintings of Bruce studies...

And just for you guys,
my old, and now, sadly, DECAYED AND GONE, 1/2 scale Bruce study, made back in 1979 after talking to Robert Mattey, the man himself, who made the sharks work mechanically, my old foam covered, posable Bruce head!

Shots are from about 2001 or so...

Always loved those sigs, brilliantly done.

That drawing from memory is pretty impressive. All from memory, wow!

And your 1/2 scale Bruce head must have been fun to play with in the pool. :)

In keeping with the nostalgia, that 1/2 version is all we really need for the 1/6the version. Could be your own tribute to your own tribute. :D

Nobody knows their Bruce like Les knows him. :) Awesome stuff, man!! painting him from MEMORY?! I really love those middle views in the painting...he really looks like he's swimming in that one on the right...as if Bruce is a real shark!

Is it me, or is there something about a decaying Bruce (of any kind) that's realllllly creepy. gives me the heeby jeebies. :) The shark IS still working....

Anyone consider making a pulpit to attach to your wall so you can place Quint on it, taking aim with his speargun?

Kind of simple: just some sticks of "wood" with a mock railing maybe made of slim straws painted. Or even real metal tubing if you can get it.

Would be a geat display for Quint, not so much for the other guys.

Got my rod and reel set in today!!! IT ROCKS!!! Set in Quint's chair, with the speargun in hand and the other two guys standing there, it is TIME TO GO SHARKIN'!
Thanks so much Sean!

Pics and more lavish coverage to come!
