Given the week/weekend it is I thought I would roll out my WIP on this one as well...

NO DEBATE ON ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE FIGURE... Please

You can say it sucks for all I care (although I do enjoy constructive criticism) Let's just give the mods a break from having to delete every other post about relegious debate.

Yes - that's a Royce head as a base....

The hair looks great and the Brody sculpt works well for Christ I think, but the beard needs some work. Awesome start though!

This is a very unique theme. You have good eyes to pick that sculpt as the base. The hair looks real nice.

The beard looks rather clumpy. Not very natural looking. Almost looks like caked on mud. The hair came out really nice, I'd try going with real hair for the beard as well. The mud beard clashes too much with the real hair IMO.

I was skeptical about the Royce head at first, but after looking at it a bit, the eyes do have a good quality to them. Very inspired choice. Its a shame we don't see more figures like this on here. I too hope this thread can stay civil as I'd love to see how this turns out. I've always wanted a good figure of this but knew I'd never do it justice. It would probably be a sin for me to try

I agree on the beard, " real " hair as opposed to sculpted would look better.

I'd also use a less muscled body.

And brody does indeed look like what we think of jesus. That's why i thought it was a weird choice for him to star in a predator movie, he just looks way too kind

^^ The hair will be styled by them.

About the body - the neck, legs and forearms is all that will be seen after I make the robes.

I may swap out for a Bruce Lee body later. That's about the only other one I would use.

I love it! The eyes are great. The beard is the weakest part, I agree. I wonder what it'd look like with real hair? It just stands out and looks sloppy next to your AWESOME hair.

Adrian Brody is an interesting choice for Jesus. But not the choice I would go with for him. But hey, that's my opinion. But to me, if I was to buy one, I'd go for one with a custom Jim Caviezel head sculpt from "Passion Of The Christ". He is my favorite actor to have played Jesus up to now. So yeah, I'd buy that head sculpt with the long hair and beard with his face.

The hair looks good, but I agree with the others here that say the beard is the problem area on your sculpt. It does look too much different from the "real" hair. Maybe if you re-did the sculpt with a "real" hair beard, it would match up nicely with the hair. Just my "two cents" there.
