Here's my Raiders versions that I'll be putting onto the statue.
The pants belt needs to be cut to the correct length once the statue gets here so it's currently too long on my mock-up display that I show in the photo.

Are you able to provide details on how to get that gun belt? That’s nice!

Sure thing. You can contact Jon de Guzman on instagram or facebook.

The gunbelt I've got is the Raiders of the Lost Ark version though. Last Crusade was as JND have done it (but they forgot to put the whip holder onto it).
Jon made all of the items shown in this photo (except the whip - that was made by Joseph Strain of the Northern Whip Co.)

Amazing work. Thank you!

I just read over on statueforum that James stated in his livestream that Disney were restrictive on the changes that were allowed on the sculpt and even more baffling than that - they supplied JND with a colour chart for the pants which JND had to stick to. Someone should fire the person at Disney who put that colour chart together!

If I was just someone who was shouting about their color being wrong based on looking at the movie and photos alone, I wouldn't have much in my defence. However, I've got pieces of the ACTUAL fabric used to make Harrison's pants from Last Crusade, so I THINK that should be good enough provenance to know what I'm talking about. Oh well, it's far too late in the game to expect any improvements, so we're stuck with this horrible Disney controlled inaccurate version now.

I can't quite get my brain to grasp why Disney would want to restrict making the sculpt BETTER. Complete madness. Having now seen the head without the hat on, it's an absolute mess. WAY too elongated and thin and nothing like Ford's head / face proportions. So disappointing. (Unless the photo I saw suffered from horrendous lens distortion). :(

Very disappointing but really doesn't really surprise me too much having worked for enormous multinationals for a long time.
It likely got signed off by an overworked understaffed area who have little interest in this stuff and think this already looks much better than the $20 action figure they approved, and when JND have gone back to them, the answer has been, 'we're not going through the process again with you, leave as is'

all official production pics are up, some of which have already been posted. EDIT: Unboxing posted I'm guessing the unboxing video will be coming in the next few days as well. Will be interesting to see what it looks like with the hat off

I'm sorry but these two just look goofy as hell, and like some really bad caricatures. And I still can't get over the weird Kenner action figure pose they gave Indy, or that super short beard on Henry Sr.

JND should be seriously ashamed of themselves after this reveal.

Honestly, I don't think they care. They sold out of them and have moved onto several new pieces since then. :(

I wonder when collectors will start receiving them?

Curious to see people beyond JND taking good quality video and pictures. The unboxing video has a yellow wash/hue across the whole thing, so as usual with JND, it looks like ****.

that sounds believable haha but still doesn't make sense how JND thought the portrait was good enough to send for approval

It won't happen, but I made the suggestion on their youtube channel about the option of buying a revised head. I also put that suggestion in the JND website Community on their own website too. I'd urge fellow collectors to either reply to my message on youtube and JND's website or at least put a like of the comment so they can see that not just one person (me) thinks it's a good idea.

They already deleted my post where I listed all of the things that are disappointing about the mass production version, so they're censoring people's opinions.

I actually put the message in Korean language (thanks Google translate), but here's the version of the post I made when English translation is selected.

Done. Sent JND the same suggestion on their website. Which YouTube comment section did you post your comment to?

Not that it matters now, but here's how it COULD have looked with a very simple adjustment to the eyes and eyebrows. NOTHING else is changed on the edited photo on the right - only the eyes and eyebrows.
There's absolutely no reason why they couldn't have done this and just look at the improvement in the likeness with those very simple tweaks.

I put it on the Indiana Jones unboxing video on both JND's Youtube channel and also on James' personal Youtube channel. They keep deleting my posts so it may not appear when you're on there. My Youtube name is @KbK7323

Someone should post the side by side image I just showed above on JND's facebook page and also the JND Collectors group facebook page

Here's what JUST a change to the eyebrows does. Even doing ONLY that makes it look MUCH better!

If only they would agree to paint the production heads with much more subtle / lighter coloured eyebrows, I think that helps the likeness for sure.

There’s no denying that JND fell short on this release, those small changes in the picture above really improve the likeness. But why order something that didn’t look good from the start? I’m genuinely curious. These pieces are too expensive (for me at least) to risk the gamble of them hopefully adjusting the likeness after the reveal.

Because they were quite boastful about how all of their production statues are better than the prototypes and they were very welcoming to receive comments for improvements at the time and even went onto say that they are making improvements to Indy
