Okay, so here's my first attempt at Locke. I thought I was done with him Friday but in the light of day on Saturday I thought he looked too much like Terry O'Quinn cast as Blofeld so I added a bit of a 5 o'clock shadow here, some sun damage there...

Lighting him for picture taking was tricky. He kept wanting to change color. It's easy for my digital camera to make him look either chalky or orange, neither of which is the case -- if anything I think he might look too new-born-baby-pink in person. I think these shots show him the most accurately.

I have another one of his heads to paint so of course I welcome all comments.

And for fun, my girlfriend photoshoped a background behind him in this one.

I do like that , its very photorealistic! It reminds me of the reason I keep coming here, the talent of the guys on this board is awesome ! Well done you ! :)

Looks really good. Skin tone looks great. I'll have to give mine a go.

Thanks for the comments everyone! They're very helpful. I've taken the eye comments to heart and I've added some green. (And for fun I've also dressed him in his bank robbing outfit from the little seen episode of LOST: the Dark Knight.)

I'm not sure I've taken enough of the blue edge off of them. I don't want to overdo the green. Eyes are tricky...

I tell you what i actually like this paint up. You did a good job on the skin tones on the top of his head. The eyes could be a bit more crisp but they are almost there. For your first go at it...great job!
