Happy Birthday! :chew

Star Wars, Jaws, Superman, Raiders, ET, Close Encounters and on and on. An amazing body of work!

It amazes me that John Williams scored so many films that are ranked in the top grossing films of all time! You could almost say that he "scored" the soundtrack to our lifes...

Yeah, his works are truly some of the best I've ever heard. I love reading the novels while listening to the soundtracks. I do the same with the LOTR by Shore they both just add to the experience.

Man, he's getting old. I don't wanna sound like a creep, but they better hurry and get rolling with Indy 4 so he can score the thing before anything happens.:monkey3 :monkey3

Yer awful...lol...but the thought did cross my mind also. If Indy is scheduled for summer of next year...I would think Williams would score it the beginning of 2008. Williams rocks!

It's not like composing is really strenuous on the body, just more on the fingers and arms. Unless he gets some kind of disease then he should be good for some more movies.

The man that truly made the classics.

Star Wars Trilogy
Indy Trilogy
E.T.
Superman
Close Encounters

and many more!

No one will ever be better than Williams.

No, indeed.

Here are some more fabulous scores, whatever you might think of the films:

The Fury
1941
The Accidental Tourist
The Witches of Eastwick
Empire of the Sun
JFK
Nixon
Seven Years in Tibet
Amistad
AI
Harry Potter 1, 2, 3
Catch Me if You Can
Memoirs of a Geisha

No composer, be it classical, popular, or predominantly film-oriented, has such a wide-ranging sensibility, and such class. Maestro Williams is a true gentleman, and a person I look up to in so many ways.

May his years to come be very blessed.
