Just 1 HT question I don't know the answer to

Never bought a HT figure before but I'm going to get a few soon. My question is: Does HT give you a bag or wrap or anything to put all the extra pieces in? Just a afraid I'll end up losing some or mixing them up when I have 3 HT figures. Thx. If this has been asked before sorry but I was not able to find the thread with the answer

I have a large shoebox full of acessories and extra clothing. I just throw it all in.

No HT does not inculde any bags but you are free to use ziploc bags to hold your stuff.

They don't give you a bag but most optional accessories come in a tray with specific spots for each piece (and the figure). Some of the more parts-heavy figures (like Blade) come with separate trays just for accessories.

I actually leave all the unused accessories/parts in the box in the cupboard. I don't know why, it's kind of silly. When I want to change a hand or something, every single time I gotta go in the cupboard and go through some trouble with the box, both unpacking the box and unpacking the cupboard itself.

In a bag I guess I'd be worried about things getting scratched up or broken somehow, maybe paint sticking together or marking.

I poly bag all loose items for each individual figure and then throw them all into a plastic bin.

I put similar types of accessories (guns, hands, etc.) into smaller zip-lock bags, then put all the accessories for a single figure into a larger, usually sandwich-sized bag with a label on the inside saying who it is for, and put multiples of these into a gallon zip-lock bag (trying to loosely organize figures' stuff there by license or theme), and store 2 or 3 of those in a single box in the closet.

Very easy to get disorganized with HT stuff unless you have some method for organizing stuff, and my boxes go up to the attic, so I can't just go up there whenever I want to change a guy's weapon or hand out.

Something I started doing with my extras was displaying them with photo acrylic cubes, that way nothing was wasted and you can make some creative displays with your left overs.

no. you're screwed. it is impossible to contain the extra parts. if only they'd invent some sort of device like a cheap bag with a zipper we'd be ok. maybe sell dozens of these "bags" in one box so if you buy many figures you can keep all the parts seperate from one another in their own respective "bags". oh well. until that day comes, you're just gonna have to face losing all the pieces.

What i do is throw the parts in a small ziplock bag and write the figures name on it with a sharpie , throw it in a drawer and done

Bad idea. Next thing you know, they'll start making them for coins and then drug dealers will start using them for drugs. Better just to leave the unused accessories in the box.

Corner of the spare bedroom, under the bed, buried in the kitty litter, under the ground round in the freezer, etc. I then put together an excel spreadsheet, list my figures then the location of their spare gear. Then to access this document from anywhere in my home I bought an iPad that I've clearly marked with masking tape and Sharpie pen "Richards item tracking ipad, do not use." just in case someone decides they want to surf porn while I'm looking for the Uzi to my T-800. This is really the most efficient way of tackling this issue, IMO.

Unfortunately, my old method wasn't much more efficient than Flosi's, and so I still have to dig through boxes of Transformers or Super Powers figures to find random parts every once in awhile

i kinda like this. if you need a part, you get to go on a sort of scavenger hunt for it. sounds fun. i may try this.
