Well, thanks to my house refinance I had a few extra dollars to play with, and I just purchased a long sought after item--the SSW Ringwraith on Steed Statue! I picked up what must surely be one of the last ones out there that are still factory sealed and unopened. I shall be the first to take him out of his packaging and display him and I shall love him and squeeze him and call him George.

Just wanted to share with you guys!

I have had two of these go thru my hands, what a beauty!! I still remember the "new toy" smell from these baby's, good times.
I am sure you will love it, congrats!

Congrats Tom!! Really, this is a great piece and one that once you get it you won't let it go.

Fantastic Tom. I am glad you didn't post what you paid. I know if it was a good price, I would hear the screams from here. :horror Just tell us if it was a good price, not how much. :D

Congrats Tom. I go back and forth between this and GOSF as my favorite SS/W piece. Hopefully the statue doesn't have any damage in that sealed package. Good luck!

Great news Tom!!! Congrats on this one, it truly is a remarkable statue, and maybe the most evocative of all of the SSW pieces!:D

Thanks for sharing in my excitement, everybody! I paid about what they have been going for lately. I actually paid less than what a few have gone for lately that have been opened and displayed. I am satisfied with my purchase, that's for sure. I am very much looking forward to adding this piece to my collection!

I hope that the seller's description turns out to be true... I have bought "never displayed, brand new..." pieces several times that were in fact not "brand new". I have purchased my RoS on Ebay, supposedly "never been displayed" and it arrived with an obviously repaired spot...

Don't want to ruin your pleasant anticipation, though  and hope it turns out fine for you!

Thankfully, I did not purchase him from eBay, but from a reputable dealer whom I have dealt with many times. The statue is confirmed as being factory sealed and will be triple boxed when shipped.

After so many people speaking so highly of this piece, I just had to have it. My wife even said it looks cool when I showed here the picture. I was thinking about the upcoming Legolas/Gimli and Aragorn statues, along with my Gandalf on Shadowfax, and wanted one more horse and rider piece for my collection. Now the long wait for Sam and Bill...
