I bet you in 20 years theres going to be a Star Wars realitor that sells futuristic houses shaped like cloud city, or a Star Wars car company that sells real speeder bikes. I just don't see merchandising from SW stopping ever.
If those saber-chop-sticks are in 1/4 scale, I can see some people picking up a set for their PF's, just in case they ever damage their original PF sabers.
Even though its the dumbest thing ever (well next to the lightsaber spoons) there is still a cool factor to it I can't deny. Although I do find it a bit disconcerting that to use them you have to hold the blade... just because you of course shouldn't be able to hold an ignited lightsaber blade.
