After that statement and couple leaks came out anyway, this year IIRC, about the end of JL, and it featured a defeated Steppenwolf meeting DS, then recent rumors said the ending was completely rewritten and reshot only recently.

I'm gonna believe those rumors. since BvS rumors were bullseye, as every single leak about JL has been too, like, literally every single plot point that has been leaked has been confirmed by the trailers with the exception of the resurrection of Superman.

WB does an excellent job keeping secrets.

Still cant believe we are getting a JL movie with only superman and WW having a solid place in the universe (back story). Flash and borg will be the pietro and wanda lol

Can't really blame em. Fans wanted this flick right now.

Yes, but to look at the silver lining, you also got the ominous scene where Superman destroys a satellite (probably hundreds of thousands in taxpayer dollars) in order to intimidate the government, and the woman made that line about how hot he was. Now that's how you end a movie!

:lol

What an awkward scene. I recently saw the film on tv and they cut the "he's hawt" line, and it made the scene less cringy, because she just smiles, so it's implied that she likes him or whatever, without telling the audience directly. The scene is still bad...but they made it better.

True, my favorite Superman film is MOS, but the final fight is a bit underwhelming because the film had two climaxes prior to the final fight. The first one was when Sups destroys the world engine, and the second one was when Sups stops Zod's ship and he then rescues Lois from the phantom zone. The movie could have ended right there...but, there was a final fight instead.

Yeah, they should have ended it with sending the ship and the other Kryptonians to the phantom zone. That last fight with Zod was overkill, literally. But if they ended it there BvS would have no reason or no Doomsday. So yeah, Snyder should have ended it there.

First still of Joss Whedon's new ending for Justice League:

The cinematography isn't as seamless with Snyder's footage as I would have liked but at least it looks like the film will end on a high note. The removal of Cavill's mustache looks decent. Glad they went practical for Aquaman's seahorse.

With Batman V Superman, they should have ended the movie with the Superman/Batman showdown, but instead kept it going for awhile, and tacked on the stupid Doomsday fight and subsequent Superman funeral.

In hindsight, when it was announced BvS was being delayed a year, that was probably a studio decision to tack on the Doomsday sequence to fast-track the transition to JL. May not have been Snyder's fault.

According to rumors, they're cutting DS out of this one and leaving it without cliffhanger....

We all know why... They can't do Darkseid if they're gonna

REBOOT

I wonder if it will be a reboot in vain of DOFP, or a complete redo? My stocks are on a continuation reboot, not a do-over. Which I would be fine with, as long as we get that damn batman movie with afleck.

Yeah I also think it will be a soft reboot.

I hope it's a full 100% reboot though.

I think it will hinge on whether Affleck stays or not.

A final way over the top fight as well....that went on way too long....

One poster here says reboot and everyone loses their ****ing minds. WB isnt cutting any losses because they haven't lost anything, theyve made millions at the box office from these movies whether u liked the movies or not is irrelevant. There will be no reboot, if anything we could get some parallel multiverse stories but the actors won't change unless they choose to leave just like Chris Evans is going to do at some point

The Sups vs Zod fight was doomed from the beginning because we as the audience know that Zod will lose the final fight, but the film did such a poor job at building his character as a physical threat by having him lose to Jor El, a scientist, when Zod should be the ultimate warrior and tactician, and later against Sups in Smallville, that he had ZERO credibility in the final confrontation. It's like a boxer with a 0-2 record fighting a top prospect...:dunno

The other issue is the fact that the fight had no real stakes, at least not when compared to Superman stopping the world engine and saving Lois from the Phantom zone.

The final issue with the fight is the ending, where the big moment or climax is Superman choosing the humans over his people by killing Zod, but we had already seen that when Superman destroyed Zod's ship and he chose the humans over Krypton....he even said it verbally, spoon feeding it to the audience," Krypton had its time!!" and he destroys the ship with his heat vision. So that final moment in the fight is....redundant.

I think the Zod fight should have taken place while Lois was on the plane trying to activate the Phantom zone, that way the fight with Zod would of had more stakes and tension because Sups has to save Lois too, thus he has to kill Zod and rush to rescue Lois in one epic climatic sequence. He still chooses the humans over Krypton and Zod. Then you can have the Pa Kent scene and Clark at the Daily planet.

You mean you actually think any villain is going to win in any action-adventure movie? Like Bond or Indy may lose one time?

Did you not read the rest?

We know Thanos will lose in the end, but the final fight will be more effective if he's unstoppable until that point....as opposed to him getting his ass kicked for two hours, and then losing again in the end when fighting the heroes. :dunno

When did zod get his ass kicked for 2 hours in man of steel?? Did u watch the movie? They had 1 confrontation in Smallville before the end fight and it didn't last long before he got sensory overload and was taken away by his lackeys

Did u watch age of ultron?? That's the movie u should be talking about, ultron ran away from the hero's most of the movie and was never a real threat, the only thing he managed to do was blow up a city and try to take human life cause he couldn't beat the avengers head on

Jor El, a scientist mopped the floor with Zod, a guy who was designed and as he claimed, "bred to be a warrior!!"

That's our introduction to Zod as a physical threat during the opening of the film, then he gets captured and put inside a dildo.

His second fight, he loses again and they had to recue him from Sups. It made sense that he wasn't used to his abilities, but he still came across as weak, when he was easily overpowered by the hero. Again, it's a matter of perception.

By the time he fights Sups one final time, he's got no aura of invincibility, and his little speech about being "bred to be a warrior," pointless when a scientist whopped his ass in hand to hand combat.
