Far Far Away!
Hi guys,

I've been always impressed with the talent displayed here and it inspired me to do some customizing myself. I thought I'd finally share some of my work.

Up first is my all time favorite Star Wars character Darth Vader!

I've done several versions of him film wise, but this version is just parts of different eras all in one.

For this custom I used a DC direct Robin body with the legs extended.
Custom ROTS chest armor
Hasbro modified helmet
Custom ANH chest box
Hand made leather suit
Custom made guantlets

Its still a work in progress, I'm still figuring how to make those metal tusk on his mask, cleaning up the maks and finishing up on a custom metal saber.
Enjoy

I've never seen this version done, but here is my movie accurate ANH David P version next to my Anakin (Head by Darren, paint by the Figure Master)

Clone Wars Genral Kenobi and SS style ATOC Clone Trooper. This was done simply by recasting a looy pop Clone helmet on the Obi Clone body.

Is it the camera angle or are the recasted helmets slightly different in proportion to the original? The recast in the second pic appears narrower and taller.

Thanks for the compliments! The sabers are all done by myself. I just took tips and techniques from members here and other forms. When I have the time I'll make a tutorial on how I do them.:chew

Here are some pics of my ANH version all metal Vader saber. Thanks to member Cryoguns for the recipe. The main hilt is metal with various plastic and resin bits for the rest.
Not to sure how movie accurate it is, I just used a pic from a goggle search. When time allows I hope to make all three versions.

Just a little modification to my SS Storm tropper. I as wondering if the SS helmet could fit a head under there so I decided to take apart the helmet. As you can see the helmet comes in 3 pieces and once hollowed out will just barely fit a clone head.

Because of the head size the helmet could not simply slide over it. So I had to glue elastic straps in side the helmet to keep it together and allow it to open up just enough to go over the head.

Smaller heads like Barrack Solider and the ACE heads fit really easy. So if you use them you could just glue the pieces together and not worry about the elastic.

Im working on a clone head in a marmit sand trooper helm and it fits neatly will post some pics once Ive painted it and weathered it to match the SSC one when released

Like the idea

Dont know whether its the lighting on that clone head, but . . . this pic makes me wanna a pint of guiness

Nice work on the Stormy there, just like the real one you gotta turn the the helmet to get it on :p

Tried that with the clone head but still wasn't able to get it on with out scratching the paint. Thats why I went through all the fuss with the helmet.

Maybe if I hollow cast the SS helmet thinner than the original it would slip on like the real one?

It's been a while since I've done a custom, finally got back into the grove of things. Here's my latest project, a more posable Yoda. Got the inspiration from seeing Custommikey's Medi Yoda I saw on here a while back. Sense I couldn't get my hands on a Medi Yoda I settled on using Hasbro's ATOC Yoda. He actually has a great looking sculpt on him, the body though is another story. The plan is to make him as posable as possible!
For some of the articulation I'm using ball and sockets from a K-nex set I believe it is, these are great for this type of bashing, very sturdy. For the arms I'll be using those mini WWE action figure legs, Here is what I have so far:

I know he looks freaky, but this will all be coved by his clothing. Not to satisfied with his ankles though. They are to loose and he cant stand on his own. I'll have to come up with something else more sturdy.

Took a break from my WIP Yoda, to make a saber for CloneObi.
On this saber I tried to "dull" the saber a bit by adding shrink tubing over the neon tube. It does make it some what less bright but also you can touch it with no fear of getting zapped! I think I'm going to do this on all my sabers from now on.
