Ok…. So remember when you had only seen 1 John Wick film and then you saw them all and loved it

You did the same thing with Mission Impossible and now your a fan

Get off your ass and watch these.
Damn you got me lol

I want to start from the beginning though and I have only vague memories of the older movies can someone remind me which is the best one of the originals to watch first before i jump into the new ones.

I haven’t watched a single modern Ape movie not even Burton’s

:chase

It seems I have something in common with Jye. Oh wait, I do recall watching one with James Franco which was so bad I never even considered seeing any of the subsequent releases...

You really don’t need to watch the originals. There are multiple differences in the story and origins of the apes.

But if you must then the first one is by far the best.

The 4th film of the original series , Escape from the Planet of the Apes, is basically where Rise starts.

But they really are their own separate stories. So starting with Rise is just fine.

Well, Tracy Spiridakos from Revolution made a brief appearance as Party Girl #2 in that movie (may have been her first/only film role), but otherwise I don't remember much about it lol...

I went to see this last night and loved every second of it! I would only rate 'Dawn' higher from the new films.
Dawn is on another level.

I think I like War a little more than Kingdom. First time viewing I didn’t. I was actually very disappointed with War but it got better with repeat viewings.

Will have to wait and see how I feel about this one after a couple more viewings.

I actually love 'War' as well, but Koba was such an incredible villain that I really missed his presence in 'War' even though he had a couple of moments when Caesar was hallucinating.

The visuals in Kingdom were stunning, I never felt bored because every scene was beautiful to watch and the work from weta continues to blow my mind.

Yeah the CG was incredible in this... but ever since watching the behind the scenes of the previous trilogy I have a hard time not picturing a bunch of guys performing these scenes in mocap suits. 😄

What a wonderful day!

Watched this today. Thought it was really good.

New characters great, in particular Noa and Raka. Could have watched them both travelling and talking much longer.

Proximus makes for an interesting antagonist. His character would have benefited from being fleshed out more. Given the runtime not sure how much they had to cut. Even just a scene with Trevathan.
