Kitbashing project

So, I'm thinking of beginning a small kitbash. But I have little to no idea what body fits what clothing, head ect.

Basically I'm thinking of making a Michael Corleone custom using the Respect Scarface sculpt. At the moment I'm looking at clothing sets that include a waistcoat, white long sleeve shirt, jacket, long trousers and a tie.
And Flosi's sale thread:

Now I need to find the appropriate body to fit the clothing and the head on. Should I use the Muscular True Type? Or the narrow shouldered true type? (Flosi is going to find the appropriate true type for his clothing set)

Help will be appreciated.

Well, the only advice I could give is that if you dont entirely modd the scarface head, you won't be able to pull off a Michael Corleone. you need to entirely change the hair, and obviously get rid of the scar! good luck to you though man!

Just buy the custom iminime team's full set Michael Corleone sculpt and clothing and body. Itll cost you as much as getting/finding and procuring all the stuff

Use the DID suit, it fits on a HT Narrow shoulder. The other suit is crap, trust me. Pants are way to baggy and the coat sleeves too short. The DID suit(Flosi's) is real quality. With real working buttons. I have a photo of it on a HT body, let me dig it up.

This is on the Narrow, Muscular True Type would be too big.

I will be getting the Scarface set anyway so I might as well give it a go. I think it looks like Michael despite the scar and hair, but we will see.

The DID clothings looks fantastic! Thanks Toylion. I might as well go for it, since you think the others are no good.

In preparation for the iminime sculpt I put these two together. The black on is a Saturday Toys suit and the Grey on ACI Gangster Johnny suit.
They're both on the HT Narrow.

Woah. Very nice. Would you suggest these over the DID suit? I do like the ACI Gangster suit. Although I would switch the tie for a black one.
How much am I looking at for the suit? And how much do those True Types go for nowadays?

The ACI comes with a black tie. TT narrows go for around $45-$50. The ACI can be found on ebay for around $40.+ Also seen it in the For Sale section. The DID and Saturday suits are better quality. But the Saturday Toys suit is hard to find now. The ACI use velcro to close the vest, but I removed it and just sewed it shut, but that's just me. That DID is also getting hard to find and the price is right. Don't wait to long to decide. Good luck. Just remember as long as your happy with your bash, that's what really matters.

I was going for this look, that's why I used the striped tie.

And this is the black one I was shooting for.

You know my feelings on that head, seems like others agree. Altjough I agree with you it's the best Pacino likeness by a mile. but I think the only way you can believably pull this off is to get a nice hat that fits it and permanently affix it to his head to cover up his hair them either sand or paint over his scar.

Also there's no way you want to be using a muscle TrueType for him not by a mile. It's like the exact opposite. Pacino is anything but muscle. He's 5 foot 7 amd super skinny.if anything the slim TrueType I wouldn't even bother with the narrow either.

But can I ask why you aren't using the blitz way body or the enterbay mr han body which were specifically built to be Al Pacino's physique.

So you suggest the DID and the Saturday suit depending on the scene I'm going for? I'm going to watch a few scenes from the film tonight to get a better idea of what I want. But I think I will go for Flosi's suit and maybe a few pieces from the Johnny Ganster suit.

Well, I hadn't considered the Enterbay bodies but how would I know whether or not the clothing fits? If I can have guarantee that the clothing is a match on the Eb bodies I will use one, otherwise I'll use a narrow true type if not a slim.

I will search the bay for a large fedora or something alike.

Also I'm regards to the body personally I work from the physique first then find clothes that fit after that. Otherwise you would end up with al Pacino on human growth hormone with nicely tailored clothes. It would still look wrong Either way.

Again if you want a pinstripe suit of just use the war version suit and body and find a vest for him, at least you know everything would fit

The problem with the HT Slim body is it's so short and tiny, and if the head isn't made for that body it isn't going to look right. ****le head. Also those suits will not fit the slim. If you're going to us a slim might as well order the whole package from iminime.

I second ordering the whole package from iminime other than a scarface/Corleone combo. But I disagree that the slim body is too short. Pacino is only 5 foot 7. Anything else is too tall.

Plus TTL makes a black pinstripe suit that fits the HT slim perfectly. And the blitz way head fits the ht slim. But to me it's a no brainer with two bodies out on the market blitz way and enterbay that are specifically designed to be Pacinos build there should be no question about which body to use.

I will order the Respect version and just strip the clothing. I need to find out what specific look I'm going for and then I can find the right clothes that will fit the body. I don't particularly want the War version suit so I'll need to ask the respective sellers to find out what body fits their clothing.

Although A true type does have better articulation than the EB bodies. So if I was to get a true type you would suggest the narrow shouldered or the slim?

Ray's right. Why put time and money into a bash when its flawed from the very beginning, which it would be on anything other than a Slim/ blitzway/ enterbay pacino body. With all the great 1/6 licensed figures, not to mention a stellar corleone on the way from Denny Kim, I know I woulnt be content with a scarface head on a cheap random suit to represent Michael Corleone. Id hold off on ordering the respect, and get in on the suit list from denny while you still can

Yes that's true actually, which is why I'm thinking that the war suit is a safe bet it's a pretty generic pinstripe suit and it fits the Pacino body.


Any of those links to the hat are gone I bet it was so long ago i remember one was from that ttl Gestapo Which is long gone now I think too bad I would like more of the suit that it came on
