Lighting on Detolf

Hi,
i just bought a detolf from ikea but i dont like spot light.. is there any suggestion? what can i do ?

LED strip lighting? Either exposed or concealed behind a length of painted beading?

walmart carries some aa/aaa battery operated led lights with velcro that you can stick anywhere. and the cool thing is the battery is only used if you turn it on. i have a set under my garage cabinets and the battery hasnt run out for like a year now because i never use it. it's like $6 each too. cant beat that

Ikea LED strips are great too but a bit more $ though than $6
Also ebay sells plenty of LED strips but man somsone must have bought it and give feedback e.g. comparing brightness to Ikea ones

Alot of people pick up IKEA's LED Dioder lighting for their displays. They are costly ($50) but very effective. Just something else to look into.

I've also heard the dioder lights work great. they come in 4 packs so you can stick one on the 'roof' of each compartment.

madozen...could you possibly post the dimensions of one single compartment? I'm thinking of getting a detolf for my tmnt stuff but Donny is supposedly 16.5 inches high, which i think might be too tall to fit.
