Luke's Box pics coming soon?

You can expect new images of the production pieces for several 1:4 scale, 12″, and polystone projects in the next few weeks. Oh, and stay tuned for a look at Jedi Luke’s packaging!

Instead of the front flap opening from right to left, the new SW figures will have the flap open from left to right.

It will be a flap that opens up to see the back.

What I think would be cool is if the box was a little thicker and it opened like a book. On the left would be all the accessories and on the right would be the figure with the major accessory like a lightsaber or sword.

Basically picture the box as it is but instead the cover would be thicker housing the accessories.

Maybe someone can photoshop something!!!

The Ultimate Hellboy has the accessories on the left side flap when you open the box, and I'm sure Sideshow has only improved on that design for the great, great, megaaccessorised SW line.

Q said that it was going to be a very different design from what they've done before, so I'm thinking some sort of sleeve thing, maybe with diorama pics or something.

The Dead zombie came in a box with no panel or window and was sealed with radiation warning stickers, so you couldn't see him without tearing the box open. Not displayable or viewable at all in the box. I doubt that is what they have planned for Star Wars. I am still hoping for a sleeve of some sort.

Soon, you will see. With all the accessories that the Star Wars line come with, we had to get creative with how they are packaged. We just finished our concept phase for the 12" LOTR packaging as well.

While I thought the radiation stickers were a nice touch. I really didn't like the overall box because of the fact that you had to tear the stickers in order to even see the figure. Even when you did, it was a little difficult to see the figure through the window. The Dead figure itself is awesome. I just hope we don't see that type of packaging again.
