Don’t know if anyone has seen this movie yet because of reviews but let me tell you, For me it’s a surprise hit, the first act is meh but the last 2 acts wowowow loved it!!! Solid 8/10 for me!!! James Wan did something truly unique but gory if you are Squamish, the majority of the feedback has been positive, but see for yourself!!!

I felt the opposite. The first third was good but the last 2/3 was just awful. It wasn’t scary after the first third except perhaps for the big reveal, which was really good more disturbing than scary. It was just a CGI fest like Aquaman’s finale. Creepy concept but poor execution.

Yeesh....why not just call a movie "Terminal Cancer." What an off-putting title.

Ehh i liked it, truly original I think, I still feel that people don’t really like gore and will judge a movie based on that so IDDK haha That’s why i don’t fully recommend movies anymore just for that reason

This was one of the dumbest movies I've seen, laughably bad. Can't wait for Red Letter Media's Half in the Bag.

Of course you guys hated it and look to the old farts at redletter media to review it. Thought this was crazy and unique at the same time. Tired of the demonic possession movies. It wasn’t perfect but it felt new. That police station scene was funny af

You ever see The Manitou (1978)
This movie was nothing like Manitou. There are some movies and even anthology horror/sci fi tv series with a similar concept, but The Manitou isn't one of them. I wish I could remember the names so I can refrence them. I remember the imagery, but can't place the show. I hate when that happens. Maybe I'll do a dive into google later

It's a good slasher film with a neat twist. The twist was easy enough to pick up on if you paid attention, but it was still a fun ride. I liked it.

I'm bumping this thread.

I don't even know what the hell this movie is, and I most likely never will.

I just didn't want the word "malignant" right next to the Norm Macdonald RIP thread.
Bad taste.

This has got to be the weirdest reason to bump a thread though but still watch it even if you don’t like it. Just kidding.

I am actually obsessed about how much Seattle underground is left unexplored 🤔🤔

The first act was meh, the second act picked it up a little, and then the final act was so ridiculously enjoyable. I can't remember the last time a horror movie had me that excited.

When did you pick up on
Gabriel using her body backwards? I noticed when he picked up the Dr.'s award to kill her. The thumb was on the wrong side of the hand. Then everything started falling into place.

This is such a hard film to review.

There were times I loved it and times I thought it was soooo stupid.

Most of the time I just went with it and enjoyed its "Italian Giallo" and "grindhouse" inspirations. Other times something so stupid would happen it would almost take me out of the film. But in the end i truly enjoyed it for being somewhat original (even though it borrowed heavily from other films) and not another Conjuring / Insidious film.

The film was bat **** crazy for sure.

I cant recommend it cause I can see some truly hating it but it will IMO become a cult classic for sure.
