Saw this today with my 10 year old daughter. She reacted to it in the way she might react to an especially creepy episode of Goosebumps. It's a well made film with good performances, but hardly anything approaching "scary". If you've seen the original 3 minute short this is based on(which is recreated in the film less effectively) you've basically seen the most frightening aspect of "Mama". All in all, a decent ghost story, but I expected much more due to all the hype surrounding the film.

The trailers looked descent enough, I'm a little surprised so many ppl are saying its bad. At the very least, it looked creepy, not scary necessarily. The 3 min clip of that other version was pretty lame.

I was very surprised that it ended like it did. Letting the younger daughter die added a realism that I think a lot of movies won't do because of the chance of offending people.

It was ok. Better than the TCM 3D I saw last week, except for the hot girls ***. Story was different but it had a lot of holes in it.
