Maqette vs. Premium format?

I never got the iron man Maqette but recently saw the sdcc 2012 video with it and the new hulk maquette. The premium formats are really the thing I'm getting into. The maquette didn't look out of scale with the premium format avengers.

So how does Maqette compare to premium format?

PFs are 1/4 and maquettes can be any scale SS desires I think; you have the LOTR maquettes which are like 1/6th, Hulk maquette is about 1/4th and who knows what scale Galactus maquette is

In Sideshow terms, Maquette generally refers to movie based sculptures. Premium format was previously term was there was mixed-media used with there sculptures like cloth etc. However, SSC has changed the PF from mixed-media and added fully sculpted statues to its portfolio so as long as it meets the 1:4 scale status. Maquettes can have different variation of scales.

How about the reg iron man by SS from the movie? Is that 1/4 scale? The reg iron man with one arn up getting ready to shoot something out.

Every single SSC Iron Man Full Size statues ever made except for the Diorama & 1:2 scale line are 1:4 scale.
