Does anyone have any info about the Mara Jade mini bust? I read it was going to be an exclusive somewhere, but I do not know the details.

Any help would ROCK! :D

The Mara Jade mini-bust will indeed be an exclusive, available only at Gen Con Indy 2006 (August 10-13). There may also be some held back for sale to Gentle Giant Collector's Club members via the website.

Passing on her but getting the Shock Trooper Bust.

I'm getting both. I'll be at comic con, so the clone hopefully wont be a problem. Mara is the one I am worried about :/

If you are able to pick up two clone busts, then you might be able to work out a trade with somebody from the Indy area who has a Mara but needs the Shock Trooper.

Yeah, well, I just talked to my friend and our comic con plans just fell apart :(

I know a few guys going, so I will need to talk to them about picking a clone or two up for me

I'll be curious to see how GG handles the shock trooper bust.

I would like to hijack this thread and ask about the Rancor ..... :monkey3 :wacky

Sure they will do it the same as they have always done it. Wait in line for ticket if you number gets drawn wait in line to go buy one of each exclusive available.

That sounds insane. What is the timeframe for this? How do they announce which numbers are drawn? Do they draw them all at once? Does this process repeat itself each day? I have so many questions...

How long does it usually take to stand in line for a ticket. Then stand in another line for the mini bust? (assuming a normal person is standing in line, not someone who camped out for a week lol)

Great, I am going to SDCC and I have to get into line and maybe get a number that is drawn and then get in another line and repeat each day until I get one? Absurd. But unfortunately I will do it. I like the way SS is doing it soooooo much better.

Huh that's a tad different than they did it last year with the Han but it really wasn't an exclusive per say.

From my experience at SDCC, you wander over and a pick up a ticket (you have all morning to do this, usually, so no reason to wait on a line unless you're really rabid and want to spend all your time doing that). At an announced time (like say, 2pm) they post a range of numbers (#12300-13407). You wander over before the end of the day and see if your ticket number's included in the range. If it is, you buy your bust and go (again, waiting for the lines to thin, or wasting your day at the booth if you have nothing better to do).

If you don't have a lucky ticket, you try the whole thing over again the next day. This can be a little harrowing if you're only in for the day, but if you're there for the weekend, it's pretty tough to not get a bust if you want one at some point. By Sunday, they're usually happy to give out multiple tickets just to unload the stock (though you're still limited to only one bust for the show). Really a civil way to do it, no lines, no crowds...

This is much better than the "stand out in the freezing cold at 6am and hope you somehow make it onto the dealer's floor and manage to get into the Gentle Giant line before they cut it off at 9:15am" like at CIII. Nonsense! (Though I got my bust there, as well) :D

I don't give a rats whazoo really how they do it as long as I come home with my Shock Trooper bust.
