As I said in the Riddler thread, if the quality matches what we've gotten with these other Mars Batman figures, then I probably couldn't resist a Kilmer Bruce.

It's Batman & Robin stuff I'm less sure about - I lack nostalgia for that film. I don't think I've watched it since the 90s.

Yea, if they included all the riddles that would make this figure more interesting. I'm not getting it regardless, but, for those that might, those would be some fun accessories to have.

I don't think there's nearly as much nostalgic love for Kilmer's portrayal of Bruce Wayne as there was for Keaton's portrayal of Bruce Wayne.

This isn't going to be nearly as successful as their Keaton Wayne figure, and Mars Toys is best left focusing on the other characters of these series.

You’re probably right, but it feels like people are turning around on this movie. It was considered one of the bad ones for a long time, but I’m hearing more and more non-nostalgia based appreciation for it

I still consider it a terrible movie, yet I feel nostalgic about the franchise and recall enjoying the Sega video game. Unlike Clooney, Val Kilmer was also a decent Bruce Wayne. Not sure if I'd buy a figure though.

Keaton, Kilmer, Clooney... all just actors in street clothes. No appeal to me.

I can understand a desire to have those actors in their corresponding Batsuits though.

Personally, Keaton Bats is enough for me. Colorful villains make for a much more exciting looking display.

Kilmer is legitimately one of my all time favourite Bruce Waynes.
He’s got the inner turmoil, grief and guilt, selflessness, suave & sophisticated intelligence, he’s stern but compassionate, very serious, shows paternal instincts to **** and imparts wisdom, he’s stoic and masculine but bares his vulnerability to Chase. Just an admirable guy.
All in all a very well rounded character and very much embodies the qualities I most associate with Batman.
Either that or my subconscious has been polishing a turd for 20 years since I last watched the movie…

I’d get this but I agree the accessories would have to be plentiful and would likely be the main selling point to the masses.

Looks like mars is going for his casual garage-tour look. Smart, since another black suit and specs would be far too similar to the Keaton Mr. Wayne.

That was how I was when I used to collect smaller scale figures, such as the different Kenner Batman series. I was always more interested in any character other than Batman/Wayne.

Thematically Batman is a great character, but visually often a bit dull and outshone by the villains.


With my Nolan 1/6 collection from various companies, I have the least interest in the Batman and Wayne figures. I even put more value on the Michael Caine Alfred.


The version of Batman that most appeals is the '66 series as it evokes nostalgia for the old comics.

With villains I'm more open. The '66 are my prime but I like the other iterations from the 1989 -1997 films - though 1997 not so much apart from Poison Ivy.
