Hi, I'm hoping that someone here will be able to help me. I recently bought a partial collection at an auction and I was hoping that someone here might know more information about it and its value.

It's called 'The Ultimate Collection' and it's a joint venture by USPS and Marvel that came out in 2008. It came in a glossy container. There are 11(of 20) pure silver 0.999 ingots that feature marvel comic heroes stamp replicas. Also included was 11(of 20) pure silver 0.999 medallions that match up the nemesis characters. I was able to find one seller on ebay who had some listed at $50 each. Also found out that you had to sign up buy these on a monthly basis but I've seen conflicting reports of the cost.

I paid $75 for the set but I've calculated the silver melt value to be worth $575 alone. There isn't a whole lot of information available online. Please help me to determine the true value and rarity of this find. Thanks!!

I heard or read about these a long time ago and they look cool, but never followed up on it. I don't know how many were made though.

I don't think I'll be completing the set. I'm just curious what I'll be able to get for it from someone else. Like I said, there isn't much info available online so I don't think there are tons of these floating around, plus it is pure silver so there is value in that.

Specifically, I'm looking for two pieces. There was a card that issued both Spiderman and Doctor Octopus coins/ingots.
But please let me know if you still have ANY of the set, however.
Thanks!
