MaulFan's CUSTOMS IMAGERY Thread

Ok, some folks may know I recently had a couple custom figures from Les Walker in my posession for some image work. I've also talked with a few others about potentially doing the same as well as doing more work. So, I'm creating a thread dedicated to the fruits of such work, as well as a place to discuss potential business.

To star things off, here is the Les Walker custom A New Hope Darth Vader figure, very impressive piece, the highlight of which, to me, is the cape. He found a material for it that has a great flow, hangs very nicely, catches light in a nice way and just really knocks the figure out the park.

WOW! :horror Les Walker delivers once again in a BIG way! I love his custom Darth Vader from ANH!

Sideshow has got a lot to live up to now. I'll be suprised if they can even come close to the quality workmanship of Les. Sideshow should hire him! :D

wow, great shots! Les's vader to me is the best version I've seen. Your right about the cape, seems everyone misses that small detail on how it hangs and covers the shoulder armor. Great job on a great figure!

Wow! Thanks Sean. So much. You did so much with those shots. I am still so humbled by them.
To have known they were out there all this time was killing me! LOL! Glad you guys can enjoy what Sean did. His lightsaber stuff is out of this world to me!
And thanks for the kind words on my part of it.

Really a stand-out figure :rock And so nice to see this great work with awesome photography!

I really hope to see more custom works sent your way for photographing :rock

It is an awesome figure. Getting to see it in person and discussing it's construction with Les as I was able to look at each part and really understand what he was saying, I was blown away. For a figure compiled of every scrap part from here and there he turned out something amazing, you'd be hard pressed to think that someone without a Sideshow level of resources at their disposal could pull of such an elaborate figure, but Les did it and the quality of care and thought put into it rivals the actual figure. I think everyone agrees that Les is talented by the quality of his work, but whether you know it or not, he pours heart into this stuff to, and that's what really makes it shine.

:clap Well said, and a truer statement about the character of Les has never been spoken. He really does put every last drop of himself into each character, it's always a labor of love for him.... as it should be. He's a class act and a great friend. :duff

Thanks Maulfan. I am very honored by your photos. Love that wallpaper one especially! That's my favorite of all the photos you took.
