Hello everyone. Can anyone tell me if the Medicom Indiana Jones figures are any good? From what I have read on the forum, there are many mixed feelings about which figure is best. The Hot Toys one looks pretty good to me, but the sculpt looks slightly off. The Sideshow sculpt looks pretty good to me. Does anyone know if the Medicom figure parts would work with a Hot Toys body? Does the Sideshow head fit on the Hot Toys body?

I am thinking of getting a Medicom one to use some of the parts to make a custom Indiana with the Sideshow head and wondered if the Medicom one is good to use as parts since they are a bit cheaper than the Hot Toys one.

Medicom clothing is too small for a HT body.. best clothing is off the HT figure.. as for heads.. that sparks an intense debate around here... I like the sideshow head if properly painted.. but a good paint job on the HT head can bring out the likeness as well... I'd skip the medicom stuff though

I see. Thank you for the reply MFisher. Are the Medicom bodies much smaller than a Hot Toys or Sideshow bodies? I don't have any Medicom figures so that's why I'm asking. How about the accessories? I thought the whip looked kind of decent in some of the product images.

Honestly I think the Medicom whip is the worst out there... utter junk.. the HT whip is better.. the sideshow one just even better than Medicom's... I make custom whips.. but obviously you could get a manufactured whip cheaper... for a "perfect" indy you have to piece it together from what is available out there... HT clothing.. custom gear.. repainted sideshow or HT head.. or perhaps the new WGP head.. depending on who paints it..

I own all three and they each have their pros and cons. Medicom's is defintely the weakest of them IMO:

The Medicom young Indy is a good piece though.. with proper customization you can build a great version of that character

You are talking about the Phoenix young Indy, right? 'Cause I too think that one has some great potential, but haven't seen too many take that one on.

Thank you everyone for your comments and feedback. The one on the right is the Medicom I take it? Now I know what everyone means when they said he's small. The body looks like it could be used as a teen perhaps. I bet it would make a good base body for a Robin to work with Batman, although he's not the most favorable superhero. :)

Yes, (L to R), Sideshow, Hot Toys, Medicom. About the only redeeming factor of the Medi Indy is the accessories he comes with (Ra headpiece, Nurhachi urn, Fertility Idol, and Grail). He dies also have the most accurate holster for Raiders, though it is all plastic. Working jacket zipper, but way oversized.

I always wanted the Medi River Phoenix. He's a kid so the undersize of the figure doesn't hurt him. Never got around to grabbing this figure up, but would jump on a deal.

check your PM box Jay.. I have one collecting dust... great figure.. but looking to seriously downsize my collection... has been displayed since I bought it.. still have original box etc...
