That's a nice looking figure. It looks like Medicom is improving the realism of their sculpts, at least that's how it looks from the pics.

Damn, that headsculpt looks incredibly accurate, i think they realized that they had to improve their headsculpts to compete with HT etc..

Pretty sick looking. I like how he comes with printing plates. lol. Nice detail. Is this a tribute figure? Kinda late. :(

Black Rain came out in 1989. so this year is the 20th anniversary. If i remember correctly matsuda died before Black Rain hit the theatre :monkey2, (or was it right after?) Anyways, I guess that's why medicom made this figure.

Glad to know that Medicom is finally upping the ante. They've let Hot Toys and Enterbay walk all over them lately.

He died about a month and a half later after the film was released. I guess a 20th anniversary figure makes sense. I still watch that movie on DVD from time to time.

I hope the figure turns out as good as the stock photos. I'll start buying more Medicom again, if they keep up that level of quality.

This Fig looks awesome. I like the Movie and I did not know that the Actor died after the Movie hit the silver screen. I think I will wait till the Fig is released and the first in Hand pics appear.

Sideshow really needs to bring this figure in soon. I have not bought a Medicom RAH figure in a while and this would certainly be an excellent figure to jump back into the line. A cool Yakuza figure is truly much needed! Let's hope maybe it's a SDCC 2009 pre-order. :D

Wow! I haven't seen the movie in a loooong time. Can't recall the character likeness that well - but that finger scene is etched into my mind.

That HS & jacket look fantastic. Hehe, he's got the thrust going on under the jacket too. :D

he is up for pre-order on the SST site-
