All adult aimed collectables as far back as the fairly early McFarlane stuff is pretty delicate and prone to breakages. Statues of course also damage very easily. It's just the nature of the finer details and higher complexity on these things. You can only make something that's less than a millimeter thick so strong.

The shop i made my pre ordered with (yes, i have confirmed my order on this) was
wondering how he should order them as the no. of order drop from what it normally
have been (20++) to only 4 .... Meaning lot ordering might not even be possible

I agree, But Mcfarlane back in the day never charged close to $100 a figure!!!

The play arts Auron was the worst, the joints were made of a very brittle clear plastic, nearly every joint broke very easily.

But the Advent Children figures were solid as a rock.

The KAI ezio's legs fell off right out the box- theres just so much inconsistency with these figures.

Pretty much anything Kaiyodo makes tends to be super delicate although some of the Revoltech stuff doesn't seem too terrible.

You want to hear really crazy, some of the 6" scale Max Factory Guyver figures from about 6-8 years ago where $60-100 and I swear some of the bigger zoalords where over $100… 6-8 years ago. This was when Hot Toys figures often cost less than $100 and pretty much every other 1/6 company was making stuff for well under $100.

Good! I do not think that they will serve you the truth but it is good to let them know that we fanboys not totaly brainless consumer whores who buy evey piece of plastic for any estimated price...although

i agree 150 dollars is definitely crazy money if their most recent releases are anything to go by... nathan drake was so disappointing along with kratos.

Yes these SE Play Arts Kai figures are pretty low on quality control.

I received my 1st Peace Walker Sneaking Suit Snake with a very loose plastic on the crotch area, exposing the holes between the thighs.
Had it replaced by the local retailer, but the 2nd one I received was beheaded right out of the box. Had to dip the head in boiling water to snap it back on.

The Peace Walker Kaz Miller looks weird. The shades (he came with two) do not fit correctly on his face, so it looks weird on him.

Then, there's Zombie-Face Solid Snake and Peace Walker Jungle Fatigue Snake with one leg shorter than the other.

US$150 is too much for their best rrlease to date, because of these known Quality Control issues. If you receive a bad Solidus, it might be harder to exchange simply because the local retailer has less to none on stock.

toy-palace germany... also have solidus on preorder... the discription says that the figure is 27 cm tall... 5 cm bigger than the rest of the line... is this possible?

In my very first post I'm going to desecrate myself by showing my own rather modest collection and my custom Lego Iroquois Pliskin

I collect mainly just Snakes, but there are few other characters as well.
That pencil sharpener is not a Snake in disguise, but it is there to hold that MGS3 Snake. I don't remember that toyline, but they kind of suck. Not all of them look that bad, but most are really unbalanced and not that detailed.

Granted that qualitywise some of those Play Arts Kai figures could be better, but man do they look nice. I have only one RAH-Snake and I would have to say that those (previously) a lot cheaper PAK-Snakes look and feel much better. Though Medicom RAH-Snakes aren't that bad and so far there aren't any PAK MGS3 Snakes. And if that price hike is actually true, Play Arts figures aren't that cheap anymore. So I wouldn't mind getting that croc cap RAH-Snake. But we'll see what Play Arts Snakes there are coming in the future. Though the price is rather high.

Peace Walker Jungle Fatigue Snake with one leg shorter than the other.

I had a similar problem, but it was fixed by tweaking the ball joint of his longer leg. At least in my case the ball joint was the thing, that made his right foot longer.

Oh..here is the Lego guy. Simple parts swap and few non-lego items. Too bad lego isn't making more militaristic uniforms. That SW Endor uniform was the best I was able to found. Not 100%accurate, but not bad.

From the pics Few minths ago, Solidus is definitely taller, bigger & buffer than Solid Snake.
But by 5cm. ? I dont think so

oh sorry for the confusion... meryl was declared as 22 cm high... maybe a failer. all the others have the correct size...

In Amiami description Meryl is 25.4 cm.
I think that is correct.

I I have tried to post pictures of my collection for god knows how many time, but it just doesn't work. Is this page blocking and deleting messages that include link or inserted image that is related to photobucket?? Because I just don't get it. I'm a member of several internet forums etc. and never before has it been this difficult to post anything. Surely Finland isn't a country with high spam rates or anything.
