Raiden looks creepy.

I dunno why the high price i bet these are found cheaper down the road.

MAn, just noticed they're both due 2nd quarter 2008. Geez. And Snake was previewed LITERALLY last SDCC wasn't he? Hell, they may just be timing them for the game, which would make sense to me. They're so secretive about this game right now, that these figures could be considered spoilers.

I would think it is a combo of both the game spoilers and the toys being way detailed. Snakes costume seems hyper detailed same as Raiden.

I've never bought a Medicom figure before in my life, so I'm only buying these since I'm a pretty big Metal Gear fan. Highly awaiting MGS4.

Most of the better retailers should have it for 15% off or $148.75... Japan retailers should have it for less I would think, maybe $139 or so?

Price probably has to do not only with the license but the detail and material used for the costumes....especially Raiden who looks really wild. Nevertheless those are some really detailed costumes that these two are sporting.

Yeah, but you can at least reserve it with Sideshow until a better deal shows up. Plus you aren't charged for canceling the order.

It looks like his armor is riveted to the fabric part of his clothing with miniature rivets! This should prevent the pieces from "pulling" away from the fabric like some past Medicom figures have had happen.
