hey guys.
Sorry for the delay.
I got lazy in the summer and fell behind.
I'm gonna finsihed up all my commissions before the summer is over and I had
this one layin around unfinished for a while so I tidi'ed it up.

Michael Ironside:
He's known to be notoriously, the evil guy, I presume.
I know he starred in that old movie "V" as Ham Tyler
The LT. in "Starship Troopers"
The boat owner in "Perfect Storm"
Assasin in "scanners"
Richter in "total Recall"

I found some good info about him while searching for some reference pics and I thoguht it was nice to share:

On the OT, that seller, aznfilms, is Louis Tran, founder of Triad Toys. I bought my first Triad duds through an aznfilms auction. Lately he's been selling under the user name triadtoys, which is also his eBay store. Guess he's kept the old user name going for his customs.

Back to the main subject of Daniel's new sculpt, your two latest likenesses, Dean Cain and Michael Ironside, are both very good. I knew immediately who they each were when I first saw them. Have you changed the material you're using? They both look much smoother than the Adam West.

I don't know about his hair, but if you're still tinkering, consider partially closing his upper eyelids a bit -- he usually wears a bored, sleepy-eyed, don't-give-a-damn expression. I'm suggesting a tiny change -- maybe double the present thickness of the upper eyelid, but no more.

Great choice. Was it a request?

Looks GREAT to me Sunohc!!
Thanks for the info.
This Triad Toys bunch...they are so on! I want their figure bodies as well as ANY good headsculpts they may ever offer. This Michael Ironside looks tops to my eyes!

Thanks bro!:D

Hey thanks for the compliments guys ^^

I actually still use supersculpey for all of them but with the adam west, it looked real bumpy from a LOT of modifications.
If I used wax, then the texture would be at its finest, but that's an expensive investment to make to use the medium, and quite too complicated yet for me LOL

Hey Gruff old Bear, I see what you mean. That part bugged me ALOT while I was sculpted but I realized that it might just be because I haven't put the iris, in.
I tried with some clay and I realized if you just paint half the iris, it could almost give the same effect. What do you think?

And I was amazed at the Triad Toy's custom as well.
The moving eye effect is awesome! Louie's become a masterful customizer :D

this headsculpt was not a commission, but I did it out of "popular request" so it open for sale once I get some more casts done.

Nice work. I'm definitely up for at least one (I said that on the OSW thread before).

As for hair I'm not too concered about what style - I reckon given the limited amt of hair he has in any of his roles modding that part ain't no big thing.

PS He was also general Katana in Highlander 2 - there should have only been one - well at least not 2 or 3 ;-)

ARG! don't remind me. *gag*

nice sculpt Daniel!

wonder how Louie did the movable eyes on that NEO? doesn't look like a 2 part head.

Thanks for the compliment guys
I made his jaws come out a slight bit more and I touched it up as well, and I'm gonna try to cast it anytime soon

:monkey5 yes HE was!!!!! :monkey5
Any pix with the Iris?
When will Marc Singer be available? :monkey3

Sun,

Very nice Dean Cain. You do have some talent. Keep up the good work!!! How long does it take you to start and finish a sculpt?

Cheers,

Brad

thanks!

it takes about 20 hours or so, which isn't a lot in comparison to other professonals, but "so isn't the pay" LOL hahaha

Some have taken me more, and some, like personal portraits with pictures at all angles take less sometimes.
