Meh....I don't think it'll happen. I know movie industries smell $$ opportunities when they arrive, but I just don't think this'll pop up before other video game movies.

This has been bandied about for a while now. Ultimately, until this shows up in imdb as in the works, it's all just fluff. Kevin McKidd would indeed be great in the role. Hopefully they make the movie before McKidd grows long in the tooth . . .

I think the next COD should be a game, with a deeper (MUCH deeper) single-player experience than MW2. Not so keen on them turning it into a movie.

This movie will never see the light of day. It will be binned like all the other game films that have been rumored and shelved for the past few years.

The story in Modern Warfare 2 was garbage and I doubt it'll be any better in movie form. I'm sure it'll have some nice action sequences but that's every summer blockbuster.

I actually thought that the storyline was pretty good. If it was fleshed out more in certain areas, it would have been something close to a 24 storyline. Plus, one of the script-writers for MW2, is also involved in the TV show, NCIS - and that show rocks!

game-to-movie (and vice versa) productions never work... even more so with such a generic modern setting as MW2

I must agree that as awesome of an idea it may sound, in reality the movie will end up letting people down. It wont be as good as the game and I feel that movies and games should not mix.

That's a horrible idea. It seems like every game they try and turn into a movie just fails and falls below expectations.
