Moving Sucks.....

I mean, it sucks enough as it is... but when you factor in your collection.. it gets really really ugly. I never really realized how much I had amassed until it was all piled and boxed....

And to just finally get Jabba and have to box him up after a few days... that was really sad. Not to mention that I have lots to do with my painting and can't do a thing while we are packing... Moving sucks.

Moving has got to be one of the most harrowing experiences I've ever gone through, and it gets worse every time.

I think I would rather take the rope and brick under the chair, Casino Royale style, than have to move ever again.

Just recently moved myself.. and yes it does suck. It actually got me re-thinking my collection and how much I have. I think may start narrowing my habit a bit.

We have a moved planned for this summer, I am NOT looking forward to boxing up my SSW collection .... over 120 pieces --- eek! :eek

Not to mention all the PFs and various things, and there is NO way I am trusting movers to transport them. :emperor

I've been moving around for 2 years now due to a family tragedy, living out of a box for 2 years sucks. I just ended up in GA (from Chicago) and you really learn about your collection from seeing it all boxed up. But damn it's fun to un-ack and re-pose!

I moved a little over a year ago when I bought a house. I had a lot of crap to move then and the last year of Sideshow collecting has filled up all my storage space. I hope I don't have to move again soon...it will be ugly!

I'm sure it will be fun to unpack all of it... But right now, not knowing where it will be displayed just puts a knot in my throat... I can't wait to just be moved and start figuring it all out. I won't have my own collection room anymore... it's going to be in the living room, in "her" domain...

I've moved 6 times since the fall of 2004. I'm sooooo sick of it! It's really made me rethink my collection and I've really trimmed it down to just the stuff that I want to be buried with. Still might need a double-decker casket though.

I only have about 15-20 figures and THAT would take forever to pack up. Can't image you guys with collections in the hundreds.

It took me a solid 3 hours to pack up my entire SS Weta LOTR pieces and that was just to create space for new Star wars stuff. I can't imagine packing my WHOLE collection up. It's probably what will keep me from moving...ever LOL.
