I can't wait for this figure. I have one on order as well.

How could Medicom do such a good job with this yet completely strike out on the Superman figure?

Got mine from Marc @ AE, I guess it's coming pretty soon too -- this fig is an eye tweak away from being Amazing in all aspects.

Looks like I'm in for a Jack Sparrow/Rocketeer 1,2 punch after all. Oh, my aching wallet. :monkey4

Yeah, I'm pretty excited about it. I WILL be repainting him.... as I just do not like Medicom paint apps. The costume will undergo a bit of weathering and staining as well, so it should be a fun little project. Also, while watching the new movie again this weekend... I noticed that his headwrap was pretty faded by that point in the series, so I will have to dry brush that a little lighter as well. Should be a blast. I can't wait. :D

Yep I'll be doing a little tweaking of the figure myself. The eye's will be touched up along with parts of the beard and moustache. I'll also be adding a wash of red paint over the bandana as some of the pics I've seen of the actual figure the markings on the bandana stand out too much.

there's a pretty good repaint, tho it kinda shows that the sculpt is a tad off (nose too long).

and it's only selling for a mere $850.00. :eek

please post photos when you have it.
I still am doubting to buy - would leave it as is (no repaint) - but the photos I have seen he looks more like a comic figure - just me

I really want to fix that sash everytime I see it. In the movie it's hardly noticeable, as it is covered almost entirely by the belts. Also, it is by the second film... pretty ragged and dirty. I will be going crazy with little details when I get mine...

tattoo, burned P, lightened sash, repainted face, stained clothing, weathered gear..... he's gonna be an almost entirely different Jack. I can't wait. :D

I have mine....

I mut say the outfit and boots are perfect, just love them. However, I'm not satisfied with paint job on mine - specifically the face around the bandana line and eyebrows. The application is sloppily done in that area. The figure in the first pic of the other Jack thread looks to have a much better paint application than the one I have. I don't know how consistent Medicom's paint apps are, but I would love the figure more if I could have the face and bandana painted better.

Love the look of the figure and the sculpt on mine is fine, but I wish I could improve the paint apps on his face. I don't know how to do that though.

Josette, I am planning on having a pro repaint mine (eyes mostly) because I knew the sculpt was good, there are a few very talented artisans here on this board who might help you out to get that ultimate Jack look.

Figuremaster Les has indicated he will be taking repaint orders in October and Custom Mikey is also a superb painter. Hope that helps...

Thanks for suggesting that, it's something I will seriously consider. With a better paint job the figure would be awesome, so I think it'd be worth getting someone to repaint it.

Thanks for mentioning me Pjam.

That one repaint Mookeylama showed is insane! Nice work on the hair!

If Josette and anyone else getting one of these can wait until October and later (I'm already getting lots of requests even now...), I may can repaint a few for some select folks. Contact (PM) me if you get your's and want to work it out for later.
Best I can offer for now.

Hope these are as nice as they look to be. I would love to see that one you are getting redone Dark Artist. Do show us your progress on it.

Thanks Les! I will probably post the entire step by step progress once I have him in hand. There is so much I want to do... I can't wait to begin.

Right now I am running low on paints, so I had to halt painting of my Sith Anakin until I can get more skin tone. So hopefully by the time Jack arrives I'll have that remedied.

I think that I may also want to switch paint companies too, I'm just not liking the Model Master or Testor's paints. They tend to dry really shiny and thicken before I use it all. I'm going to try bottles(the squeezy type) next, not sure which brand.... but I think it will work out better for me in the long run. :D
