First off huge Kudos to RazorsEdgeCollectibles for amazing service. A+ as always.

Here are some pics of this behemoth. Its defintiely bigger than the Factory X version, feels heavier too but its been a while since I was able to get into 1 on 1 contact with that piece. I still dislike the crate top because it definitely makes it difficult to mount, its a piece of plywood simply painted so it looks authentic but its a space taker. Not sure where I'll put it let alone its 1940s brother on its way as well.

I think it looks better than the Factory X version.

I can't wait to get mine and compare the two head to head.

$350 shipped. :D

My wife picked it up and it covered 90% of her body. :lol

Sweet. I may go down to Museum Replicas soon to their show room and see if they have any in-stock there. :rock

I posted this on statueforum.com after seeing the comparison pics of the Factory X shield and this new one.

Looks quite nice, but is it a bit too large? And, it seems too concave.

Yeah, like Steve Rogers really wore that thing under his suit jacket in the 60s... The Silver Age was great in many ways, but oh-so stupid in so many others.

It has two pegs that are screw in because the backing is pre-drilled. What they don't give you is actual hardware to attach it to a wall.

With the Captain America Move casting done production will soon start and it could be the next Iron Man and more interest will be created in Captain America collectibles. I read a lot that people liked the Factory X shield more. I did not see enough information on the Museum Replicas shield to count it out since I trust Sideshow so I bought both and I am glad that I did. I thought since interest may increase soon that I should share my thoughts. I know that people have different tastes in things but there really is a huge difference in these shields. I received my Museum Replicas Captain America Shield today. I was very unimpressed with the Factory X shield it felt like a garbage can top and looked unfinished and cheap which it was not I paid over $300 for it. It was far from a true replica of Captain America's Shield it was only 27" it had no handle only two leather straps and it was not the correct shape it flattened out instead of being curved. I had read on some forums that people bought both and liked the Factory X shield better and kept that one so I did not have high hopes for the Museum Replicas shield. I did have a glimmer of hope because Sideshow sold it and they only carry good stuff. Well I opened the package today and I was pleasantly surprised with the shield. First I have no idea why someone would keep the Factory X shield over the Museum Replicas shield. The Museum Replicas is so far superior to the Factory X shield. First off the shield is 30" like in the comic, the shape is curved as in the comic. There is a strap for the forearm and a handle to hold like in the comic. The build quality is so much better it has more weight to it because it is thicker the edges are finished and painted unlike the Factory X which are unfinished and unpainted. The paint looks to be thicker and better applied. I think the darker blue in the middle is more correct. If you are a fan of Captain America and you want a true replica there is only one choice between these two shields. I have no idea why someone would keep the Factory X shield over the Museum Replicas shield. There was a much smaller number of Museum Replicas shields made then Factory X shields so the price is higher to buy one now but I think it is worth it if you are a true Captain America fan or you want a real replica of Cap's shield. Here are some pics and a video review so that you really can see the difference.
