Kind of surprised with all the hundreds of threads in here that there's no member musician's thread (unless I missed it)...I'm no expert but I love to play around on the drums and record either my son or I doing it, so I can see the flaws (and there's lots LOL). Any other musicians here ? Please share !

I play guitar and bass. I have had a couple of bands around Calgary with some success. I have recorded 2 studio albums, but that band broke up. got some new ones now though!

Personally i'm mainly influenced by Guns N' Roses, Metallica, In Flames, Alice In Chains, Zakk Wylde, Soilwork... to name a few

Wow good stuff guys ! I recorded one today after practicing it only a few times. It's my own version (as I hear it I mean) and not like the original drummer plays it. I only play for the fun of it and will never be in a band so I don't really care LOL

Gota few electrics and an acoustic and like playing along with the tracks I play on my PC / stereo.

That's pretty much how I learn songs is by listening to them.

Recording wise, I just head to my friends place and use his PC.

Banjo is prettty much a dying art I beleive, but it's so cool when it's well played. I don't see to much of it anymore.

I play guitar, bass, some drums and some keyboard. Was in a hard rock/metal band for about 8 years out of high school that didn't go anywhere though we had some talent (too many ego issues). Right now I just write stuff on my own and occasionally with some friends. I'm saving for some equipment so I can finally start recording all my ideas.
