Always wanted this figure in my collection, but because of the costs of the figure now and jacket/rocket harness problems of the varius versions of the Medicom one, I took the "cheap way" and made my own, which I call the "Frugal Rocketeer Project", I know is not a perfect replica but I am very happy with it. I made the pants, helmet and eventualy will scrachtbuild the rocket pack, the jacket is an old Dragon Luftwaffe pilots with the addition of homemade front panel and shoulder straps, all painted with acrylics. Hope you like it.

Looks pretty dope.

Well, you may not like it and for you it may look "dope"...but the important thing here as well as any other project done by fellow 1/6 enthusiasts is...that we make the effort, try our hands at making things and each and everyone of us is happy with his/her results. My very personal opinion of course!

This is the painted helmet, I did not want the "gold tone" look, instead did an used bronze tone look, I know the helmet is not perfect but it turn out nice for this "frugal" project. Now will do the hand control, then the rocketpack.

Once more thanks to all for your kind comments about this project, greatly appreciated.

Looks dope to me! maybe add a little wear, dulling to it so it's not so shiny and new looking? Either way looking good. cant wait to see the jet pack.

A little more progress on the rocketpack, still a lot of fitting, fabrication and detail, this is a test fitting of several of the parts I have made, nothing is glue down yet.

Some really great work so far, major kudos to you for using your clearly considerable skill to get stuff done. :duff
