Super Freak
Hey guys!
Since from the beginning when i decided to get the Hulk Comiquette I wanted to repaint him, not because I hated the original color but I did not like the somewhat flat green with such a strong pose and presence.
Today I decided to work on the base first. I remember seeing it at Comic Con last year and loving the base but when I got it I noticed that it was mainly grey with very light brown here and there...
I wanted a more color distinction between the gray and the browns so I could tell what is pavement and what is soil/dirt. I added several colors to it including Burnt Umber, some burnt Sienna, red oxide and gray. I added washes all over concentrating on the parts that I think are the earth under the pavement and cracks. Then I dry brushed some colors here and there and added more washes. It is basically finished and I think it looks a lot better than the photos but I can tell the different colors now.....
I don't know how I am going to do Hulk yet though....
I have thought of doing a darker green like the PF but I have a few Olivetti Hulk comics and I like his approach with a green/gray color. I will do some color tests and I'll post progress photos throughout for you guys.
Thanks for looking
