No review tonight - instead, I have my picks for Best and Worst of 2011 up! The People's Picks voting ends tonight, and I figured it was the right time to post my choices. I'll be working on tallying the ballots later this week so I should have the results of both awards next week at this time. To see my personal picks, check out the usual:

Cool! I agree with most of your choices (in fact I share many of them) but Bishoujo Wonder Woman as best statue?? Did you really like it that much? :)

Hasbro and Star Wars and Neca and Hot Toys these are a few of my favorite things......:blissy

I enjoyed the Best and Worst of Jack Sparrow. Cracked up with the Disney Jack pictures.

I feel that Mattel Ghostbusters should have been in there somewhere. Happy that we have figures...sad at how they turned out for "Adult Collectors"

I'm sorry, I tried making sense out of the website but gave up: the way the list is laid out is very confusing and exhausting to wade through, at least to me... I gave up... sorry. :(

With the force i see in you a Hardcore Hot Toys fan :lol

"Hot Toys may be here again next year with their Catwoman as well - can't wait!"

Errr what is this? it should be.... "Hot Toys may be here again next year with their BabyDoll, Amber or possible Catwoman as well"

Yes, yes I did - but that's why these are my personal picks. Did she even make it on the ballot? I think she did, but that process sometimes weeds out my own favorites.

Great picks! Hot Toys had most definitely dominated the high end market last year. I'm sure that they will this year as well, especially with all of the '89 Batman figures being released.

Personally, my figure of the year would have to be the Hot Toys Christopher Reeve Superman. Jack Sparrow is also a great choice, but sadly I don't own him as yet.

Good stuff.

But no Cover Girl for best statue? (or did they not make the ballot?)

Quinn and Ivy were fantastic in my opinion.

Again - these are my picks, which means they aren't necessarily on the ballot. I don't confine myself to only the ballot since a) I'm picking my top three and b) my picks are sometimes weeded out by the other judges.

But Cover Girls were on the ballot - a couple were in the best statue section, and they were also one of the best high end choices.

I'm surprised that the Enterbay T-800 wasn't even mentioned in the entire article...

Great list Michael. Hasbro's Star Wars is one of those I always look through even though I don't buy them anymore either. The ventage packaged Gamorrean Guard was one of the best in the line last year IMO.

And yes... even with their incorrect socks and mis-proportioned nostrils... Hot Toys is pretty hard to beat.

Sarcasm is great way to add to your clientele. :yess:

All in jest. If it actually offended you then I do apologize. You gotta admit though... that's along name.

Awesome article Mike, I think HotToys dominated the year with the Classic Pred being my favorite - he just looks so accurate and I love the details. I think Sideshow is on the right road with the droids, the battle pack and then IG (2012) really surprised me with their detail and ingenuity. Hopefully 2012 brings us higher quality figures at reasonable prices...

Interesting list to skim through, since I'm not at all familiar with most of that stuff anymore. Notably missing from much of the discussion is Sideshow. They're on the list for having 2nd best overall high end 1/6th line in star wars, and worst overall statue in Rogue PF, but that's about it. Interesting that Jack Sparrow is responsible for some of the worst overall low-end kiddie toys and the best overall high end figure on the list. And a great miscarriage of justice putting LEGOs over Minimates in the block figure category. Pshaw.
