Hi

Just wondering if anybody out there apart from me still plays on their N64'S.
As i always do , along with my dreamcast and gamecube , and too be honest alot more than my xbox 360 and ps3.snes
I have a huge retro collection i just can't get rid off for some reason.
i know there is emulators out there , but there is nothing like playing on the real thing.

just a thought

Jay

My Dreamcast gets a lot of play, but I can't say the same for any other retro system. I do get a lot of classics for the Wii, but like you said, it's not the same.

Mine does as well as my Saturn. I need to replace the pin adapter in my NES, but otherwise it's still kicking.

I went on a retro kick earlier this year and bought a Genesis, NES, Super NES, N64, Intellivision, Colecovision, Odyssey 2 and Atari 2600.

I've since sold the Colecovision and the Intellivision and Odyssey 2 will be next because there just weren't enough classic games to keep those systems. I do plan on buying some games for the other systems, though.

I never got a Saturn. By the time I saved up enough money, it was "dead". :monkey2

Stupid paper route.

I should pick one up on ebay some time, I know I missed lots of great games.

There was an awesome game store in Tallahassee that specialized in retro games. I picked up my Saturn with 4 controllers and 2 games for $50. Totally worth it since my import system stopped working 5 years ago.
XMen Vs. Street Fighter :rock

WOW! I wan't a saturn ,as when that was released i could only afford the sony playstation.
I also have a N64 add on called the V64 which i have no idea how to use.
I mostly play golden eye ,body harvest and turok 2 on the N64 , and zelda on my gamecube.

Just brings back memories and my original N64 still works fine , yet i have had 15 xbox 360 console's.

I badly want a sega mega cd mk1 .

retro gaming rules:clap

cheers everyone

I have 2 n64's and am selling the better working one on fleabay soon with a load of games.
Sad to see go and will probably regret it, like when I sold my saturn.
Sold it last year and had nothing but trouble from the buyer, old consoles mean temperamental glitchy problems.
Had that console from new and spent loads of time on that, same with the n64, some great games like goldeneye, rogue squadron and star wars pod racer.

Might just keep it now and have a game, woo hoo:)

I still have all of my old systems, but they don't look all that nice on my 54 inch plasma. I plan on emulating all my favorites just so I can apply some filters that make them look the way they did on my old tv. Though I do admit that using emulators is not quite the same.

Lately, I have been jonesing to play my most valuable and rare game: Panzer Dragoon Saga on the Saturn. Probably the best RPG I have ever played. Such a wonderful atmosphere and battle system. Hmmm, maybe I will hook up my Saturn and play it a bit.

i remember investing many hours on Coleco's Zaxxon... N64's Wave Race and Dreamcast's Power Stone...

I know, right? It'll be a sad day when I hear people begin calling the Ps2 a retro console.

How many of you have a Colecovision? Now that's retro.

I have 2 colecovision consoles.

I had one from original back in the 80's but it was probably thrown out as I lost the power supply.

Then about 15 years ago I remebered that this guy used to rent yes "rent" out colecovision cartridges on a nightly basis from his off license/liquor store and I had a word and he produced a brand new system in box and packing box and sold it to me for 15 pounds.

Rare especially over here as atari stole colecovsions thunder and it was'nt abig name at all.

Still have about 6 games for it too.

Donkey Kong First game I played on that system
Donkey Kong Junior
Cosmic Avenger
Subroc
Zaxxon
Venture still love the lil ghosts:)
to name a few think I have more, will have to look.

Who needs atari?

Speaking of atari I have a few of those consoles aswell.

One 2600 and one woody and one vader version but can't get it hooked up as the rf lead is too big for my tv.
Was the vader console for use only in the u.s only as I don't remeber our connections being that big?

I too have an Atari 2600 stored in the basement and a Sega Master System II.

And hooked up to my LCD TV is my SNES complete and Mega Drive I minus Scart, still need it and I try to get game only complete.
Looks much better, here´s a little pic:

I have so many good memories of Zelda: A link to the Past. One of the greatest games ever made.
