So when Shawn Marion, Andre Kirilenko and Baron Davis publicly request trades why does the media not castrate them like they do Kobe?..

On a side note I'd really like to see the Lakers acquire AK47..

:lol < LOL!!!! @ Kobe

I would say his past has a big factor in it...and being a major star in a major market. I also hope the Lakers lose every game next season. (ps. Kobe has been playing great!)

I guess he is that player that you either love or love to hate..

I would LOVE for the Lakers to swap Odom for Kirilenko or Marion..

Then Swap Bynum And Kwame Brown for Artest..

This makes the Lkaers Lineup

Fisher
Kobe
Artest
AK47 or Marion
Mihm

All feasible transactions..

4 proven defensive players along with Kobe.. I love solid defense.

The reason they don't make a big deal about them is because they are not superstars like Kobe. You could argue that Marion and Davis are at that level, but Kirilenko.:lol

Kirelinko has been to a few all star games and he's only 26.. He's a talented player on the wrong team. Serious beast on the defensive end... I's happily take him on my team..

But he is not considered a superstar like Bryant. Hell, I like the guy. He just isn't seen as being on the same level as Kobe. Plus he plays in Utah. Who wouldn't want to be traded from there?

Not many on Bryant's level.. He is def a top 3 player in the world. I guess thats why all the hoopla..

Phoenix should trade Marion for JO and get a true talented Big Man.. Amare is not a center.

Odds are come start of the season, everyone will still be on the same team. Which means Ill get to watch another full season of Kwame Brown.

Excuse me, but when was crying allowed in basketball?? :rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

.

I agree with you there. If PHX could get a legitimate center, imagine the devastation Amare could do with the freedom of not having to foul out early in games.

Serious trade talks w/ Suns and Lakers.. Marion to Lakers for Odom and salary filler ala Cook..

I think this can help both teams.. Defense for the Lakers as well as a change we needed and a player who doesnt need the ball in his hands.. and for The Suns Odom is a prolific ball handler who loves to run w/ the ball, who can take a little pressure off Nash.. The only thing about Odom is will he stay injury free?..

actually...thinking about it more, if Odom can stay injury free, it would a a good fit for sure. He can dominate the inside at times.

Dont know about Cook though....I havent seen anything from him yet that has wow'd me.

A healthy Odom would be an All Star.. But his body is like a train wreck.. Cook can flat out shoot at 6' 10 and would make a solid 10th man. Every team could use a shooter.. Basicaly salary exchange filler..

Kerr always complimented Odom.. He likes him..

If Marion's heart truly left The Suns its not a bad deal for them...

I would be thrilled because it brings an ironman who plays defense to the Lakers.. Two things we desperatly need..

Cook might actually flourish in the Suns system.. His game is catch and shoot only, but he is very good at it.. W/ Odom and Nash throwing the ball aroud he would be in heaven...

the latest on a posible deal

Suns center Amaré Stoudemire was in such good spirits after his successful right knee surgery Tuesday that he used a Phoenix bird mythology reference to predict his return from the arthroscopic procedure that removed a floating particle from his knee joint. "Like I told you before, I will rise from the ashes and reincarnate myself," Stoudemire said, repeating a sentiment he shared after two previous knee surgeries. "I have no doubts about bouncing back. I bounced back from microfracture (on the left knee). I can bounce back from this." Arizona Republic

Tuesday's scope will sideline Stoudemire for only three weeks, if not less. He will spend today on crutches before joining his team in Tucson and starting rehabilitation. Arizona Republic

It was hard to tell from watching forward Shawn Marion practice Tuesday that he had issues with the Suns this summer. Smiling and bouncing about, Marion did not look like a player who was unhappy that his trade request was not met. "I've got to work my way back into shape, and everybody else does, too," Marion said. "It's going to be fun . . . Everything's cool. It is normal. I'm a professional." Arizona Republic

Kerr said he had a "great conversation" Monday night with Marion and that he addressed the issue with the team. "It is not dead in that he still wants what he wants, and that's fine," coach Mike D'Antoni said. "That's the business side of it, but I know Shawn as a person. He's going to come in and play as hard as he can." Arizona Republic

I thought the reason Marion was unhappy was because he needed the ball in his hands.
