NBA Elite 11 is Officially Canned

In what was supposed to be the revamp of the series that would rival and hopefully put an end to NBA 2K's recent dominance, EA last night announced that NBA Elite 11 is now totally and utterly canned.
Talking during a recent investor conference call last night, EA's Chief Financial Officer, Eric Brown, delivered the news that the title for this year is now cancelled, while EA's Chief Operating Officer, John Schappert, stated that the future of the franchise would be moving internally as well.
"Future development of that franchise will be handled at EA Tiburon in Orlando," said Schappert, confirming the shift in development from EA Canada to Madden developers, EA Tiburon.
The news of the cancellation follows numerous complaints regarding the game's demo and the recent delay that we saw in late September.
If you want to get your basketball on this year then, we hear that NBA 2K11 is the way forward. There's always NBA Jam as well though, although the two types of basketball are worlds apart.
